Sorry this took so long, I lost the original footage in the move, think I deleted it to make space for The Simpsons :) lol. This got claimed too so apologies for the ads. Basically the long explanation is that its risky to dispute claims because dodgy users and companies reject them knowing you'll not want the risk of an official appeal! So separate video it is. I wanted to earn some pocket money on the Portal video, ok, you guys can sue me instead for that if you want ok bye-Portal 2 will be up soon-

Still Alive - Portal Reaction

Comments

Munshai

I wasn't expecting the last bit of your paragraph haha. No need to apologize, the reason is perfectly understandable 😉 Thank you for sharing your reaction with us!

Don Bernacz

Low key that hollow knight wall hanging is awesome 😎

Carsten Schultz

Thank you for doing this for us. It wasn't necessary. I was disappointed when the song was missing from the YouTube playthrough, but it is not your fault that YouTube sucks sometimes. I hope you find things that make you happy even in bad circumstances.

Huib Gelling

Sorry your new place is so miserable :( A little pocket money is a small step out of there :)

OhSoAtomos

You’re good Amber. You didn’t have to do this but the effort is recognized and really appreciated and so are you ♥️

Don Bernacz

Also, one day at a time, you got this!

Capt Doug

That Hollow Knight tapestry is cool af! What a nice little upload!

b0n3man

Hey Amber. Thanks for the video! Terrible to hear about your environment, and i hope you find a way out of it soon. Wish there was some way to help, you know? And please, don't ever let the bad comments on videos get to you. You make amazing videos, and sometimes people just are out there to be assholes. I do hope Portal 2 makes you laugh. It's a really fun game with a lot of great humour! Edit: Extremely jealous of your Hollow Knight blanket. That's amazing.

Trolez

Thanks for the video 😊 I'm sorry to hear your new environment sucks. I hope the winds of fortune will blow in your direction post-haste!

Chris DePrisco

Sorry to hear things aren't going well at the new place. :( This brought back memories of a silly thing I did a while back. Look on YouTube for "Chris DePrisco Portal Remastered" I got bored at my old job and made a laser play the song, lol. Maybe that will cheer you up for a few minutes. (starts at 0:55)

John Rochester

Positive comment? Post away! Negative comment but you believe the content is harmful? Post away! Otherwise, what is your point, exactly? Especially if someone has demonstrated that they really need some support. Obviously there's some grey areas where constructive criticism can be taken badly, but in the end it's better to give kindness to people who are just trying to be entertaining

CrwTheWanderer

Really hope you find the health and happiness you deserve. I wish there was more we could do. I don't know how much you interact with the community, since even one terrible person can ruin the vibes, but we're here for you. If we can't personally lead you through the darkness with lanterns in hand, hopefully we can at least be the glimmer of stars guiding from a distance. Stay strong Amber

Andigator

It's truly awful living in a toxic environment, really bad for one's mental health. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that you'll soon be able to move to somewhere where you'll be happy. Please don't ever feel like you're over sharing. If you want to share, share away. We get that you're a real person, not just a stage show!

Jonathan Wright

It is such a fun little song - not only a great way to close out the game, but really just fun to listen to any time (I did buy it and do actually listen to it with some frequency). Hope you are having a blast with Portal 2! Can’t wait to see you experience the hilarity and cleverness of it. Really, REALLY sorry hear the move has not gone well at all 😢😭 Always wishing only good things for you! 🤞

mattbrush3pwood

Dude, that's sick! The fact that you were able to create the Aperture Science logo out of it too is really cool. The soundtrack to these games is part of what makes them great imo. I remember doing a little remix of about 2 seconds of music in the very first Portal 2 trailer and there was a whole genre of vidoes that existed for a while where people would create these whole scores based of that tiny little clip. Good times.

mattbrush3pwood

Just want to add to the positive vibes and say thanks for creating great quality entertainment, despite everything that's happening behind the scenes. Getting a little Amber notification of a new video always helps to improve a crappy day! The work you put in really does make a difference to people. Hope you enjoy Portal 2. I replayed it recently and it still stands up as one of the best gaming experiences out there imo. Also, one of the characters has some great advice about when life gives you lemons, so maybe this is the perfect game to play right now!

G. Gringle

Feels like you haven't been able to catch a break in a while. It's tough to find peace when you're in such an unsettling liminal space. I'm so sorry for all you're going through. I hope you keep making what you want, despite the YouTube nonsense. No matter what, some people will be disappointed—but you have a strong, growing base that values you for who you are and how you play. We always appreciate seeing a new video from you! Walton has gone so hard into rug mode that he looks 2D!

Flukemarm

Sorry to hear about your move and the negativity 🤞I hope Portal 2 is helping with the stress, such a funny game! If you're in a foul mood I feel obligated to recommend 'Lil Gator Game' again. It's a short comfy small-scale "helping friends" adventure game, think A Short Hike meets Wind Waker.

W. W. Wiklund

Don't have much to say other than thank you for the update, I hope a less toxic living situation comes ASAP! Been there and it sucks so bad. Looking forward to Portal 2 whenever it's done though, sending all the love and good vibes to you! <3

Ian Seckington

Woooah - where does that amazing rug? tapestry? come from? A hollow knight wall-covering?? Love it!

Ian Seckington

Oh God, sorry to have commented before the end of the video. Awful to hear you're not in a good space yet... Hope things get better soon.

rogbrte

Never understood people who treat Youtube channels like seasons of a Netflix series they expect to binge - especially when it's just one person handling both back and front of house. Entitled weirdos need a handful of grass. Love the bonus reaction and echoing everyone else about the sick HK blanket thing!

Julian

Thank you for the little video, Amber! And for sharing (weird as it may feel, haha). Glad I'm not the only one having to move back into a toxic environment, though I hope you get out of yours soon. Looking forward to Portal 2!

Linktothefuture

Hey Amber, it may be worth looking into the the company that claimed the video to make sure they are legit, but I am pretty sure valve explicitly says you are allowed to share playthroughs of their games so it may be worth disputing it. If you do choose to dispute make sure to include a link to your play through. My 2 cents.

LoZander

I totally get why you cut it out of the original. I'd have done the same. Im sorry if people gave you a hard time for it :/ Cool that you uploaded this video though, I didn't except it :D

LoZander

Also, having not finished the video, I wanna say that I'm really sorry about the new environment being bad. That really sucks. I hope you get to get out of the there fast. We love your stuff and your passion. You don't disappoint us <3 (also, like the credits not being in the original video is so not a big deal, if people made it a big deal they're at best wrong and silly and at worst... just suck. We got your back, Amber!)

Marcel Génetay

Amber, I’m so sorry to hear that you’re having such a rough time after the move. I hope you’ll find some other place as soon as possible! Living in a toxic environment is awful and one of the most detrimental things to one’s mental wellbeing. You should be able to – and deserve to – feel safe and comfortable in your own home! Every time there is a new Symbalily upload I know I’ll have a blast watching it. Can’t wait to get home from work, have dinner, put the kid to bed and all that so that I can watch that first Portal 2 video that I saw dropped recently. Please ignore the misbehaved YouTube idiots, you neither need nor deserve their negativity. Take care!

ApexModder

New patron here, been loving your long form videos, such a breath of fresh air in this short form content riddled landscape youtube has become recently. Your bubbly, joyful energy/personality is also such a treat to watch either while working on something or destress after a long day. Im sorry your going through a bad time right now :( currently going through a move myself and ughh its a real PITA so i feel some of your pain with moving, its never fun in my experience. Hang in there and im sure soon enough things will get better, they always do. Loved your portal play through was surprised you didnt watch the end credit song but also kinda of expected as most people skip game credits and how was you to know theres a fun little jingle at the end. Cant wait to watch your portal 2 play through its a real fun game and valve did the impossible yet again, making a sequel thats just as good if not better than the original, now if only they could count to 3 and do it again.
