Aww, thank you for sharing in the middle of the video, it was really insightful when you talked about the quandary of how to cope with difficult things/emotions. I think you are right that transposing onto a new goal can be useful, but maybe not ultimately as healthy. My heart goes out to you, I can empathise with so much of this - a sense of aimlessness and how disorienting that can be coupled with survival mode. In survival mode, all you can do is try - as much as you can - just to heal, rest, be indecently gentle with yourself... There's a book I read called Wintering that I think captures that idea very well, maybe give it a try. And you are doing really well! I'm currently also watching your Dark Souls Let's Play as I play the game for the first time myself, and it's such a joy. You're an amazing gamer, no matter what the various ups and downs of specific games.

I am quite impressed with your attempt on the Chromatic Hexga, especially when only shooting until the crystal turned one colour down meaning it became invounerable every other turn. I shot it all the way down to white and still struggled.

Dropping a 6.5 hour video two days before I have a 10 hour flight is pretty much frame-perfect timing. Thank you for saving me from boredom (…and I don't think I'm going to get much work done on the flight, oops)

Such a lovely and fun gameplay. Thank you for opening up and sharing your personal feelings during those vulnerable moments, it really adds depth and emotion. P.S. Just a small suggestion: if you can, try maxing out the character relationships before finishing the game. They unlock some really important and fascinating lore segments!

One thing I love about the writing in this game is that everyone has their own thoughts and opinions, their own way of dealing things and they're all at different points along that journey. I definitely see my own failings in some of these characters and it really does make them believable. Also, you've done well to recognise living in survival mode and the signs of burnout. Please make sure you give yourself the time to take care of yourself. While we're sharing. Health issues and burnout caused me to have time out of work a while back. Part of my recovery routine was to reward myself getting through physio with some music, gaming time or the latest Symbalily video. So thanks for your help with that, appreciate it!

Great playthrough, you handled the enemies really well. I also can't unhear Gustave from Verso. Thank you for sharing, this game has had me reflecting on things also, which is one of the reasons I find this game so amazing.

I'm realizing I should finish the game. Just unlocking swimming opens so much of the game I see other people discovering locations I haven't been to (and I'm already in Act III). I haven't finished the video yet so maybe you found out but in general (and very specifically for the Chromatic Hexga) when you find a thing that can be shot - keep shooting, that's what the "so and so is vulnerable" popup is trying to tell you ;)
