Arkham Asylum Part 1! Thanks for the comments on the last post everyone, so here we go, let me know if you'd like to see more? I don't know why the subtitles are so small lol, couldn't find a way to fix it so may just turn them off. I am going to wait a bit before publishing the series so this will be early access again!

I'll be watching this as soon as I get home from work! As for subtitles, I don't know if it's the case for this game but I know some games have the text size linked to the resolution so that might be the culprit

The game features a lot of backtracking until you got all the gadgets. Better using the quick throw for the joker teeth btw, much more convenient. And learn the counter mechanism, otherwise you will struggle later.

Wow this really brought me back, didn't realize I had so much nostalgia for this game until I heard the little Arkham jingle. "Advice": Don't feel bad about buttonmashing, "Arkham Combat" is notorious for letting you just spam buttons. The scanning alignment for riddles can be really finicky and some of them take a while trying to get the right angle.

Awesome start Amber! Couple of non spoiler tips: -In combat, you should avoid button mashing. Each button press should be its own punch and will turn the combat into a rhythm game -you don’t have to hang in order to do the inverted takedown, sitting up top until they are directly below you works just fine! -the riddler challenges are a little confusing at first, but it’s separated into collectible trophies, interview tapes, destructible teeth, and scannable riddles. Everytime you enter a new room, it will let you know about a riddle you can solve by scanning in that room. -don’t worry about missing anything, you can come back to any area of the game eventually to get the collectibles if you wish to get them all. Kind of like a metroidvania, where you get more powers and come back to new areas to unlock more things. Personally, I’d watch if you wanted to do all the riddles

Man it’s been forever since I played this game! I remember the combat being quite rewarding once I got better at it. It hits hard on the nostalgia factor for me since when I was a kid I really enjoyed Batman the animated series and they got a few of the key voice actors to reprise their roles (like batman and the joker of course)

This game was such a pleasant surprise. From the reprisals of Batman, Joker, and Harley by Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill and Arleen Sorkin of the animated series, to managing to sprinkle in Batman's inspiration as a noire detective. Hope you enjoy it!
