OK this is purely a trial run to see if YouTube will let me upload this and publish this! I have heard from lots of creators that they had to mute whole portions or mess with the pitch to play this on YouTube which is really interesting! I think that would make me very sad so lets just keep this YT Members and Patrons only for now! I haven't done anything but just keep the music at a lower volume so we will see. I loved what I played so far,  if there are any FF7R fans out there let me know what you think and any tips or advice because it was information overload for my adhd brain hahaha. What a bloody gorgeous beautiful game and soundtrack though, wow. Happy to pick up the new game on stream later if this series never goes anywhere so we got options! I probably wont do too much fuss on the editing for this one because its such a beast of a game, also I don't know if it would just be really distracting to have lots of edits. Sorry for all the inconsistency and randomness! Over the last week I just wanted to play really random things with no rhyme or reason hahaha. Thought I may as well let y'all watch this part while the copyright hasnt been an issue yet :) I am going to stream tomorrow evening over on Twitch! Going to play Dark Souls Remastered New Game Plus because I miss it so damn much.Seey'all sooon!

Supervised Chaos

I just bought this on Steam the other day. Maybe i shall play along

Trolez

I've never played any of the Final Fantasy games, but I shall give this a watch to see what the fuss is about. A stream tomorrow sounds lovely! 🎉

ChilledGricken

oh cool! i haven't played this one but the music in final fantasy is always incredible, shame that they're so strict about it :( excited for the stream!! thank you!

symbalily

Woooo thank you for watching! Definitely give the soundtrack a listen even if the game doesnt click for you though :) It makes all the gameplay so damn exciting for me when I hear the battle theme haha

symbalily

They're super strict about what you can show too! Its really interesting! Honestly the music is just so great isnt it, I listen to this soundtrack and the OG one in the car, or when I am reading or cleaning or something all the time haha.

SpectR0nn

Oooh so excited for you to finally (hah!) check out a Final Fantasy as a let's play! Easily one of my favorite series and this game was a highlight when it came out.

ChilledGricken

i wonder why they're so against it when let's plays are essentially free advertisement? i love valse di fantastica from 15, there's something about that track for me

I've been meaning to play this remake for quite a while, but I keep putting it off (life, adulting, lack of free time, etc.), so it will be cool to get to see it here...if the YouTube gods allow. The soundtrack is great for sure....though the chocobo theme gets stuck in my head. That's cool that you were able to get that gaming exposure from older siblings. I'm the oldest in my family, so my younger sister probably feels similar to what you are describing...back when she would watch me play Banjo Kazooie or Windwaker. Also been enjoying all your recent looks! What a cool and eclectic wardrobe you have. 😎 👍

The Mighty Pipe

A stream sounds great. I've seen a lot of people have started duel streaming on twitch and youtube at the same time. Maybe a thought for the future for people that prefer one site over the other. Do you have a rough time at all that you plan to start tomorrow?

mattbrush3pwood

Super pumped to see you try this game out! The opening bombing mission took me ages to get through on my first play through because I was just jamming out to the soundtrack! Highly recommend going to watch it performed in concert if anyone ever gets a chance. As for tips, I'd just recommend using your ATB charges as often as you can for abilities as they are what do the most damage and build the most stagger. Keeping track and switching between characters can be confusing at first but once it clicks it becomes a lot easier.

Flukemarm

I didn't think I'd have the patience for this game so I'm glad I get to see you play it. If you're looking for another random easy game to play, I've heard good things about the Switch game 'Smushi Come Home' and seen it called "A Slightly Longer Hike"

BTW, just to chime in on the story a bit and your memories about it. This is not a like for like remake. The general plotline and all major events are the same, but they also added entire story beats to flesh out certain characters more. One is actually coming up in the next chapter that wasn't in the original game and it's one of my favorite moments. Then they also added a bunch of stuff, already coming up in the current chapter, to frankly pad out the runtime. This entire game just covers the Midgar part of FF7 and that was about 5 hours worth of story and gameplay in the original. So they added a couple more open chapters with sidequests as well as longer sections to traverse and fight through from storybeat to storybeat. It can kill the pacing here and there, but it does add to overall worldbuilding; so YMMV. Oh and the ghosts flying around? They weren't in the original game either and their addition has been somewhat controversial for quite a few long time fans. Just...don't worry about it for now.

Loved this game and excited to see you play it! I think it was about forty hours for me? Hope we're at least able to see a full playthrough on Patreon

Suited For Gaming

It's a fantastic game. Slightly different in parts to the original but still very good. I was meaning to give it another playthrough before part 2 is released but watching someone else make their way through it is going to be more entertaining. Only advise I can give to try and do as many side-stuff as you can... and when you level up make sure to prioritize materia slots. Aside from that just have fun.

It's a surprise to see you start this one, but a welcome one for sure! It's a really cool game, your reactions to things will probably make it even better. Don't be afraid to be a bit lost in the story (and all the game mechanics), the game gives you a lot of time to figure it out later :) And a stream too? We're getting spoiled! I'll try and be there, for sure. Princess Mononoke is one of the few Ghibli films i haven't seen! I should sit down for it one of these days.

Brooks Roberts

THIS IS SICK. I hope you enjoy this one! i need to give it a try myself. you seem like you'd be into final fantasy in general. hope you like it!

Ben

So excited to watch this! FF7 is my favorite game ever, and I am so hyped for Rebirth

Supervised Chaos

I will but right now i am hooked on and finishing up Alan Wake 2 such a good story

Austin

Bought it a while back, never got around to it. Would be a nice play along, have fun

Rogue Variable

Loving the play through, it is definitely a different learning curve. Hope you decide to stick with it. I’m sure you have already seen it, but if not, it would be great to see you do a watch of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. One of my favorite anime.

Huib Gelling

YYYESSSS Amber! I’m clicking the play button as we speak and I’m super fucking excited! I love this game and these characters so very much and I can’t wait for Rebirth ❤️ I think I might actually have tips for you this time around, but we’ll see :P Most of the time you notice a lot more things than I do xD

Chris DePrisco

I've always wanted to watch this game, having had FFVII as my first final fantasy game back in the day. Though by now I've forgotten most of the story (but not the Chocobos!) So I'm not sure what I'll reneger as the same or different. Oh well, will be fun to watch regardless! PS: I like your corset-thingy! It's probably got a slightly more official name but it's like a cross between a corset and a shoulder holster! 10/10

Reyes9

Need more of this.
