Drawing Snapshot - Headscarf Bunny (Patreon)
Content
Hi lovelies,
I drew this little bunny last week and thought they were so sweet in their little headscarf, so I want to show you a breakdown of my drawing process and how I drew her!
She was a little bit inspired by this hedgehog that I drew in a similar pose last year - I was convinced it was only a couple of months ago but it's actually more like a year 😅
Here's a simple breakdown of the illustration from sketch through to final art, plus I've attached the basic colour palette below that you're welcome to download and use for your own art.
So my drawing process went a little something like this:
I started with a simple sketch of my composition, and for this one I knew that I wanted her to be quite big in my frame so I centred her with a few flowers floating as a background.
Then I made the sketch layer about 30-40% opacity so that I could easily see through it.
On new layers below I started colouring in all of the elements, keeping separate colours on separate layers.
I drew in lots of little details like a pattern for the headscarf and lines for the fur.
Then I added several layers of texture to each element and with the same texture brushes drew darker areas for shadinng.
And that's about it!
There weren't too many difficult elements in this illustration so it was quite simple to draw and I think she looks so sweet with her little handbag! 😍💖
