Hello everyone,

I hope that you've been having a wonderful July, whether you're in the middle of summer or middle of winter right now!

I had a bit of time off earlier in the month because I was studying some beginner Italian at a school which was so interesting because I haven't studied in a classroom setting for about a decade πŸ˜… It was honestly so fun and refreshing to learn something new though so I really enjoyed it (and all of the gelato obviously)!

For the past couple of weeks though I've been a busy bee working on lots of nice projects:

I've been writing my first proper video class about Starting A Successful Art Business that I'll be hosting independently (not on Skillshare), and I'm very excited to share it in September!

I'm also in the middle of illustrating another picture book for one of my Australian publishers and it has lots of sweet animals in it. I much prefer drawing books with animals rather than humans because people are so much harder to draw for me! When I have a lot of illustrating to do I often put on some TV or listen to a podcast, so at the moment I'm finally watching the latest season of Bridgerton.

And then as always I've been enjoying making things here on Patreon and for YouTube as well!

My partner Dan is away on a hike at the moment and he usually edits all of the videos, so I've been doing the video editing for the last couple πŸ™ˆ I'll be editing the Beautiful Bluebell lesson video today as well so hopefully it turns out ok!

I got back into drawing with coloured pencils this month, which I normally only do as part of our illustration club these days and everything else I draw digitally, but this month I really enjoyed doing some little sketches in pencil that maybe I'll turn into digital drawings later.

Do you use a mix of traditional and digital media or do you just stick with one?

Is that hydrangea? So cute! I only draw digitally! But I love your colored pencil drawings

Sounds like a wonderful time. Italy in Summer is so beautiful! 😍 I usually draw digitally. But I love to draw with watercolors, pencils or coloured pencils, too. ❀️ But mostly I find no time for it. Your pictures are so lovely!❀️ The hydrangea and the mouse are so cute! And the tiny House! 😍 Good luck for the Video! I'm excited how it will turn out. I'm sure it will be good. 😊 Have a nice time!πŸ€—

I love your pencil drawings. I tend to use digital but occasionally sketch with pencil in one of my many (empty) sketch books!!

Hi!!! I’m new here, and so excited to be here. I have a love for both traditional and digital. I’m newer to using procreate, so I’m working on developing my style and honing my skills.

Yes it's a hydrangea (or at least my version of them)! There are lots around at the moment, they're so pretty when they're in full bloom

Yes so much difference! The classes were completely in Italian even for beginners, but somehow you manage to follow along most of it πŸ˜
