Hello lovelies,

Just wanted to pop in and catch you up on everything that I shared in May in case you missed anything!

New Froggy Wallpapers

I made a fresh set of wallpapers for us all to enjoy with my space froggy illustration. There's a file for phones, tablets and desktop and they are SO CUTE 🐸

The Illustration Club

I drew a cute afternoon tea for the illustration club with the prompt words 'teapot', 'bird', 'leaf' & 'strawberry' and it was so fun to see your illustrations throughout the month! πŸ’–

My Creative Illustration Curriculum

In May I explored how to visually add personality to a character with their outfit, accessories and expression. You can download a pdf guide about the topic here, or see all of my creative curriculum posts here.

Bluebells also have a new walkthrough video where I share my process and thoughts as I draw a cute character with personality for my Creative Illustration Curriculum challenge.

A New Project Pack

I made a new project pack for Bluebells of a bunny dressed up for their first date hehe πŸ°πŸ’–

The project packs include a working file of the illustration (.psd to open in any drawing software), a simple breakdown of the process, a timelapse video, and a colour palette so you can see my drawing process in more detail.

Studio Snippets

Take a look at everything that I've been making in my art studio in my latest studio snippets, including arts and crafts that haven't been shared anywhere else yet! I've been doing some colouring pages of my books and also some cross stitch lately and I really want to make my own designs to stitch once I find the time.

An Article For When Life Gets Busy

I wrote an article in May that was requested by a community member about how to best use your drawing time when you have art goals but you're in a busy chapter of life. I hope it helps!

New YouTube Videos

There are two new videos on my YouTube channel! One is a monthly reset of my creative business where I take you behind-the-scenes and show you how I plan for the month and review my income.

In the second video I share the 3 things that I changed to start taking my art seriously and become a professional artist (while I make cute crafts in my studio)!

What's coming up this month:

This month the focus of my Creative Illustration Curriculum is exploring character poses and how they can add energy and story to illustrations. All three tiers get access to my curriculum so keep an eye out for the June pdf guide that I'll share in the next week or so!

I'll also be sharing the new prompt words for the Illustration Club in a couple of days - can't wait to see what we all make this month πŸ’–

I'm moving house again this month so I might go a bit quiet through the middle of the month, but I'll be all set up again by the end of June.

I started making some mini tutorials for 10 minute drawing ideas but haven't decided how to best share them yet. Should I make a pdf guide to download? Should I share one per month? Or a few at a time?

As always, feel free to share your ideas and recommendations with me as a comment below or in a private DM if you prefer.

πŸ’– Mimi
