July Art Challenge & PDF Guide - Creative Illustration Curriculum (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

Drawing illustrations with cute little interactions was one of the first ways I learned how to add warmth and story to a simple drawing, so I'm excited that it's the focus for my curriculum this month!

This month's focus is: exploring how a basic interaction between two characters or objects can create a cute, simple story.

To help us explore this focus together, the art challenge for this month is to:

Draw an object on its own, and then draw a character interacting with it.

Even a basic interaction between two elements or characters can take a simple drawing and give it feeling and meaning, and this is something that I try to do a lot of in my art.

For this month's challenge I’m planning to sketch an object that would make a nice gift, and then draw it in the hands of a character giving it to a friend. I think it'll be super cute!

I'll be filming my process of completing this activity this week, and sharing the real-time process without voiceover with all tiers, and a tutorial version with voiceover with Beautiful Bluebells.
