Helloo my beautiful flowers!Yesterday I filmed my drawing process for this sweet little florist shop that will be a YouTube time lapse video next week and wanted to share it with you! I also filmed a second illustration for this month's drawing walkthrough video for Beautiful Bluebells that I'll be releasing late next week (I think Friday 23rd).

I wanted to draw something a little different that wasn't a cottage or a character, so I drew just the shop front of a florist filled with flowers and being looked after by a couple of kitties!

I started out with a sketch and then drew in all of the main colours. This drawing is in three sections: the door/window frame, then everything inside the shop is behind it, and everything else is in front of it. Once all my colours are in I'll add LOTS of texture layers to add shading and depth, and also plenty of little details.

I really like how this one turned out, it took me a little while to find colours that I liked together (especially for the inside) so I spent a while going back and forth to get them how I wanted and to have enough contrast to be able to see everything. Don't feel like you need to know all of your colours upfront! It's ok to figure things out as you go and change back and forth (I do it all the time).

I hope you're all having a wonderful week! ♥

Finally became a Patron! This is really beautiful. I always seem to get to the middle picture and then am never sure where to go from there. I’m doing an online art course to help develop my skills so I’m getting there 😊

Yay welcome! For the longest time I would stop at about the middle picture, but slowly started adding more layers to my illustrations over time - I think practice really helps so you'll absolutely get there! 😊💕
