Hello my beautiful flowers!

Thank you so much to all of you who voted in my poll about what I should draw this week. You chose an autumn forest with a fox so that's what I drew today, and I had such a nice time drawing in all the layers of trees.

A really simple way to add depth to a forest is to draw trees becoming smaller and more faded in colour as they go further back, then I drew in some small bushes at ground level to cover up the base of the trees.

I went for quite a red and beige palette to keep things feeling like autumn, with just a little bit of green mixed in.

As always, the process went a little something like:

Draw up a sketch first

Reduce the sketch to 20% opacity and set it to multiply

On new layers below block in the basic colour of each shape

Add textures with a broad texture brush

Add finer details with a small brush

I like how this one turned out, I don't think I've drawn a fox before but they're such lovely animals!

Hope you've been having a wonderful week! ❤
