Drawing Snapshot (featuring happy flowers!) (Patreon)

Hello lovelies!

I felt like doing a quick, simple drawing this afternoon so I illustrated these sweet flowers on a rainbow background, just for fun 😊

I'll post it to Instagram in a little while, but thought I'd share a little breakdown of the illustration with you first along with the colour palette I used (which you're welcome to use for your own art too).

As usual, my illustration process went a little something like this:

First I drew a basic sketch of my composition and for this one I wanted it to be really simple (but still cute!)

Then I reduced that sketch layer to about 20% opacity and made it 'multiply' blend mode so that I can use the sketch as a reference

On new layers below my sketch, I coloured in all of the main elements in solid blocks of colour

Then I added lots of layers of shading and texture to all of my elements

I drew in some sparkles, details on the leaves and gave the flowers all rosy cheeks

And that's about it!
