Mimi's Arty Advent Calendar - December 15th! (Patreon)

*Please note the Advent Calendar goodies are exclusive to December patrons and are removed at the end of the month. Join us next December if you'd like access to some festive treats!*

It's December 15th already and somehow we're halfway through December?!

Today I have something a little different and want to share with you my template for drawing a simple portrait of a character. You can import it into your drawing software or print it out and draw over it to create your own character!

These are the proportions that I like to use for my portraits and you can make all sorts of characters using it as a base. The crosshair in the middle of the face indicates roughly where the eyes go (on the horizontal line) and where the nose goes (through the vertical line). I've drawn a couple of examples of my own characters using it 😊

Feel free to play around with these proportions to make you own characters, and try giving them different clothes and hairstyles 🥰✨

Download the template below, drag it into your drawing software and create your own character on top using the template as a base!
