I hope you've been having a wonderful holiday season if you're celebrating or are simply enjoying your December if you're not 🥰

I've had such a whirlwind of a month between moving house interstate and coming back home for Christmas and am just now sitting back down at my computer to start thinking about the end of the year.

My partner Dan and I spent most of the start of December packing up everything in our house (I was also illustrating for a picture book but I'm lucky that he did most of the packing!), and we sold the majority and just kept the things that we like the most that would fit in our small car.

We caught the ferry over to mainland Australia and drove for three days up to Queensland to spend Christmas with family. It's been really lovely to reconnect with everyone over Christmas but as a big introvert I'm definitely looking forward to some quiet time!

I really enjoyed renting a little house in the Tasmanian countryside and it was the perfect spot to be able to focus on growing as an illustrator and developing my business, but now we're feeling ready for a new adventure and will be heading over to Europe in March which I'm really excited about!

I'm so grateful to have been able to build a career for myself as an illustrator that I can take on the road and do from anywhere, and your support here on Patreon is such a huge part of that so thank you so much for being part of this community ❤️

I'll mostly be based in the UK next year because Dan and I are both citizens but would also love to visit some other European countries so let me know if you have any suggestions at all!

Also, I got to see my second picture book in stores this month! 'Nice and Slow' was released at the end of November and it's such a thrill to see it in bookstores, especially when I see it next to 'The Love That Grew'. It's only available in Australian bookstores but you can order it online from Book Depository if you're international 🎉

I've got a few Patreon benefits to still release before the end of this month because I got a bit delayed over Christmas so in the next few days I'll be sharing the video for Beautiful Bluebells and any other bits and pieces I've missed so far this month!

I hope you're having a chance to relax before the new year begins, I think I'll do some planning soon for some art/business goals for next year and I'll share them with you when I do 🥰✨🎉
