Inspiration From Italy 🎨 (Patreon)

Hello! I'm in England now and had such a lovely time exploring Italy for a little bit after the Bologna Children's Book Fair! As you can imagine I took lots of photos while I was in Italy and I wanted to share them with you because I thought there were so many beautiful buildings and scenes to see.

I really loved how colourful and full of character the buildings were. Some of the rooftops were really lovely and I came across lots of charming streets with layers of different buildings and shapes.

So I drew a few sketches based on photos that I took as inspiration that I thought you might like to see. I really liked the shape of the roof tiles and chimney in the first one, I thought the composition of the second scene was quite sweet, and the third one had a really interesting layering of buildings that I wouldn't have thought of on my own.

And here are some of the photos that I took on my trip that I thought had nice shapes, colours and were generally just nice inspiration! Feel free to use them as references for your own art if you like 🥰🖌️🎨
