Patreon update + Narnia project (Patreon)

Patreon is finally making me switch to monthly billing. I'm not sure when the new plan starts, but it looks like our new monthly tiers will be:

$1 -> 5

$ 2 -> 10

$5 -> 25

I want to emphasize that this isn't a serious change for most of you. If you pay $1 per essay from me, and I write five essays per month as I generally do, you're paying $5 just as you did before. If you've capped your pledges, I'm sorry — I understand this is an imposition and I'm not happy about it either. But I'm not going to raise rates on you — I actually asked Patreon to decrease my new tiers from 6x to 5x to more accurately reflect the number of essays I give you per month. I look forward to giving you some cool new work to read.

Speaking of cool new work, soon you'll get to read my return to Inklingsology with Shadowlands Revisited, my retrospective of C. S. Lewis and The Chronicles of Narnia. In this essay series, I will compare Lewis' late-in-life conception of Narnia as a Christian myth to the books he actually wrote and published. You'll get to read seven full-length essays about the Narnia books (by publication order and not the dreadful chronological order), plus four more essays about other works by Lewis. I really hope you stick around and enjoy Shadowlands Revisited as much as I'm enjoying working on it.
