Drifting towards a global denouement, “Night Scented Stock” unites its album’s first side with its second half. As atavistic cries of “Blow Away (For Bill)” echo through its barely minute-long lifespan, ephemeral reminders of the past return once more. There’s no longer a rockist tribute to Moonie: only a vocal spectre.
