February 23, 2024 Roundup (Patreon)

This morning, I got a huge career update. Will have news for you soon. It's also my anniversary with my partner Janet, so a good day on the whole.

So let's jump straight into the news. Here are the headlines:

The latest wave of sanctions against Russia is interesting. Russia has been trying to sanction-proof itself for a while, so who knows how long that'll work out for them.

SCOTUS continues to block affirmative action.

Alabama has decided that embryos are human beings who can be murdered.

Texas has punished a Black kid for having awesome hair.

Norway is transferring tax funds from Israel to Palestine.

The Texas National Guard is forcibly deporting migrants.

In a devastating blow to Biden, Fox News reports that Abraham Lincoln pardoned Biden's second great-grandfather for attempted murder.
