I have no estimated date yet, but it should come much faster than the previous chapters, which is an understatement. WARNINGThis news contains hints and spoilers from the recent chapters. Sadly, Patreon doesn't have a spoiler-block feature for its posts.-----------------------------------------

Chapter 28 is titled "Future Diary."Yes, the idea for the title is taken from that anime, but that's where the inspiration ends; it holds no plot relevance, which is a relief for our audience and even the cast... perhaps. As I said in our Discord server, this upcoming chapter has been partially written and titled since Chapter 25, and those who have finished Chapter 27 may have a fair idea of what the next chapter entails. As some of you may know, I'm an advocate of the "show, don't tell" way of storytelling and have been very vocal about it; I always exclaim that it's called a VISUAL novel for a reason; it's also how MTWY's story is being told after all. I'm fine with telling; I just have a preference. What really rubs me the wrong way is when the dialogue gets dragged with redundancy so it could pretend and say how jacked up an update is with its word count when in reality, it's just the writing saying what's being shown and absolutely adds no value to the context of the scene or even the conversation. For example, there's a render of a character poking another, then the text goes *while poking character* then dialogue. Sir/ma'am, I have eyes! Why was I ranting? Guess I wanted to make the post longer, ha! Also, the fact that the approach to the storytelling for the next few chapters is different and will be coming from a certain character's POV, so I'll be relying on you, my audience, to put me on notice if I ever do what I said above. I have been reading source materials and working through my references, doing check-after-checks, but I'd appreciate your perspective too. This is our first jump into Lost Time and I want the transition to go as smoothly as possible. I don't want to leave you all in shock and confusion with the awe left behind in a ditch somewhere. What I'm currently working on is dividing up the arcs, main plot, b-plot, etc. I have thought about splitting them once again into separate acts or maybe just different chapters altogether. I'll immediately let everyone know once I figure that out. What else can we expect in the chapter/arc?

Returning favorites, given whom the next few chapters will be centered upon, we have a pretty fair idea of who they'll be. Oh! and a couple of not-so-favorites. Also, there'll be new characters in the life of MC, and the rest of the cast's screen time getting the shaft—I'm very sorry, certain LI fans. This chapter will be about him. Ultimate Version.I replayed the entirety of Book 2 recently, and then after that, I went back to replay Book 1. Odd, aren't I? After those replays, I jotted down a list of what I'll be re-editing visually for the ultimate version. What is the ultimate version? Once MTWY ends, we'll be making a complete and compiled version of it, with Books 1-4 and all the offscreen chapters too, all in one convenient but extremely huge book. I'm saying this so you all have a sense of security that I have been planning that far ahead and will most definitely see this through. Things have been so rough lately. I couldn't help but slow down. We'll be pushing for promotion and giving our pages a makeover tomorrow, then the wallpapers before I resume working on the current upcoming chapter.Thank you, and I hope you have a great Valentine's Day! -LO
