Hello, dear Patrons!I have heard a couple of opinions about how the game should be made in the future so I wanted to know your thoughts about game style before I'm too deep into the development of the next release.

Do you think it's better to make it like a straight visual novel with just choices and that's it or do you want to see a map with different locations, places to unlock and discover, a journal to guide you through, side stuff, and other things?

Here is a little bit of Anna's beauty for you :)

While either would be enjoyable, having it be more of a game with choices would be awesome

deepsleep

Don't worry, you won't have to grind to progress in the game :)

Steven Riley

As long as the map was updated it and didn't look like an old-school Pokemon game that would be great

Julian Harper

While I'd prefer a VN with choices, considering Anna's history it makes sense to provide a map with navigation, that would make the migration from RPGM to Renpy make more sense

Sirio

One of the best thing of this game are the various choices and the multiplicity of quests. Turning this game into a "simple" VN would be a mistake (my personal opinion). Having side quests and unlocking secret scenes and stuff is way funnier and they give the sensation to play a real game instead of reading a text and pressing enter.

I like the map adds a bit of environment, but he current map lacks some easter eggs and things to discover, would love to see some more random events easter eggs. currently a lot of the map and npcs, could do with some interaction or events, but not at the cost of main content ofcourse, but could add some life.

TheMummy

I would much rather have a straight visual novel with branching choices, but leaving maps and other interactions that are some of the reasons i "hate" RPGM. I think that way there would be much more time to focus on the story and animations, than to "waste" it on maps and other interactions. The side quests could be made as choices, indicating it would start a side quest, and just adding the quest choices as it went.

I would like the buildings to either be a little more unique or at least labeled so finding a place you haven't been to in a long time isn't such a pain because the glowing marker is often difficult to see, especially in the downtown district

deepsleep

Its not going to be a problem now.

Micha Bader

Repeatable results and side activities such as working sports photo shoots and having fun with all the supporting characters.

deepsleep

Well, its not going to be grindy and repetitive. Its just to add interesting elements. Also, its not going to take my time away as I got help with renpy.

Frank Rosario

The point is the story. If it's engaging and full of ideas, it doesn't need maps or other things. For me it is better that Deep devotes himself to carrying out events, perhaps with recurring ideas (like the tax man) or that he makes Anna do "strange" things with the excuse that she is obliged to do so (perhaps for treatment by Andrew).

deepsleep

You are right, but new game design is not going to get in the way of the story.

In my opinion a good map allows for side quests and repeatable events (if you like to). It gives it more of a rpg/quest feel and helps with play-ability and longevity of a game. There are many examples of games with great maps (Though unfortunately a few with really bad ones too). The map also gives a better idea of distance and changes of location. If the map is made well it enhances the game and that is why I voted for a map.

I care how often update and what the game is about.

It depends on what platform I'm using. If I'm using my laptop I prefer the full experience. If I'm using my tablet or phone I prefer just the VN.

How can I play this in iphone?

deepsleep

You cant. There are versions for mac, android and pc
