Perfect timing Mike. At the airport waiting to board. If this is how I go, just know that I’m on the island, and I hope I’m a candidate.

ohhhhh yeah ! just in time before I go to the movies to see The Flash

Every time my wife and I fly, we try to find the survivors on our flight. Do you have a Hugo, Sawyer, Jin or Rose on your flight? 😜

I've watched A LOT of reactors - 1% of them realize it was Hurley's vehicle and 1% of that group realize it was Hurley's psychic interviewing John. Mike is one of a kind and forgiven for not immediately saying "4 8 15 16 23 42 execute" in the cave :) Originally airing on February 16, 2010, 'The Substitute' is Episode 4 of Season 6 of LOST. It is the 107th episode overall and has an IMDB rating of 8.2, placing it as the #11 ranked episode of this season and #76 out of all the episodes shown so far.

Some funny details from this episode without giving away anything major.. -The psychic who works for Hugo - Hugo is the "luckiest man alive" and that's why Locke couldn't hit his car with the ramp. - Hugo owns the box company, which was mentioned in Season 1 Ep 18 (and the title of that episode is important) The next episode is one of those very special ones for me and I find it beautiful. Great reaction and comments Mike!

The smoke monster killed Mr Eko because he refused to "confess". He said that he felt no guilt for what he'd done because he'd done it to protect his brother. The monster turned on him immediately.

Question are the higher tiers ahead of this on lost?

Still to this day all these years later I still don't understand why him not confessing made him get killed. I know actor had to leave show maybe thats why it doesn't jive with whats going on

I feel like I can explain it, but I don't think I should until he's a bit further in the season. I'll try to remember to circle back to this thread.

I believe (just a theory) the smoke monster killed him because after he confessed and refused to ask for forgiveness ,the smoke monster realized he would not be able to easily manipulate Eko the way John was manipulated. We know from John's past that he "amenable for coercion." That made him a great patsy for the smoke monster. You tell him that he's going to have to die, and well he'll go along with it. That kind of manipulation wasn't going to work with Eko. Smoke monster figured he wasn't going to be able to use him and in fact Eko was too big of a risk considering how strong willed he was. Better to kill him early.

Mike I can NOT handle your theorizing and questions. I'm literally screaming out loud, "YES!" "NO!", "OMG JUST WAIT!" And it is scaring my dogs.

Yeah, pretty much. There's one thing that I would add that would be a spoiler, at this point, but yeah.

The next episode has one of my favorite Jack moments & episode 7 is amazing.

One of my faves of season 6 and faves of the series. Love all Locke focused episodes + a little teacher Ben and remorseful Ben...<333
