I might make Shay a freelance hunter who hunts monsters. Karlie she doesn’t find a particular danger to society bc Karlie takes contracts to kill slimey businessmen or you know that general type bc of that mindset of letting certain monsters go Shay isn’t welcomed at the big hunter society bc they’re so like all monsters who kill are bad.

Idk might recon if I find a better storyline

is Shay a 'hunter' in a Buffy kinda sense? with special powers that make her immune to Karlie's charm? would that make other hunters immune as well? or maybe it works in the binary: succubi can only drain men, incubi can drain women, non-binary / gender-bender people are the end-boss. I hope my rambling is not OTT but my ADHD brain has latched onto this this morning and not let go.
