This was the first episode I ever saw and it remains one of my favourites. I think the implication was the Eves (certainly the young ones) were sorta psychic, so the whole story about "red lightning" and "men from the clouds" was just Teena reading Mulder's mind and telling him what he wanted to hear. I always thought the whole idea of the "Litchfield Project" would make a great continuing story, sorta like a "Stranger Things" situation. I keep meaning to watch the show "Orphan Black" because from what I hear, that's basically what it is -- a whole bunch of clones on the loose.

As for Cindy's mom turning her back on her so easily, some people are really weird about genetics. Like the second they find out a kid isn't genetically theirs, or even adopted kids or step kids, they see it as "wasting time raising someone else's kid." I do think that attitude is really weird, but it would be a crazy situation if you found out not only was your daughter a genetic experiment done against your will, but she also killed your husband.

Hello! I just subscribed to your Patreon coming over from YouTube because I couldn’t wait for more X-Files reactions! Which is why this comment is so late. I might have an answer as to why the little girls look so familiar, if you don’t already know. This may be a deep cut but there is a beauty YouTuber named Tati Westbrook and they are her older twin sisters. They really look alike so can see why they would look familiar.

Hello, and welcome :) Thank you for subbing. What a totally random piece of trivia, lol. I never would have guessed a YT celeb like Tati was the sister of those twins. I'm not really a fan or anything, but I do know her name because of the 'Bye, Sister...' controversy all those years ago. That's wild, haha!
