Apparently, Doug Hutchison insisted on doing that final scene in his nest under the escalator completely bare-ass naked. What a freak. 😆 Yes, it's the first episode for Skinner, and I always called the smoking man in the background "Cancer Man" but he is credited onscreen literally as "Cigarette Smoking Man" ...very mysterious... And of course that conversation between Mulder and Scully in the car made all the shippers squeal. What would have happened if it were an iced tea??? ❤️❤️

Haha, that's a commitment to do it in the nude, lol. Ahh, I probably would have known the guy was credited as 'Cigarette Smoking Man' if I'd watched the credits haha! I don't think I've watched any of them. I read an old article the other day about the casting of Scully and how they wanted a more 'bombshell' type actress for the romantic aspect of the show, but one of the writers or creators ( I forget who), said he had no plans for a romance between his leads. I'm glad they went with GA, she's amazing and as weird as it sounds, I always find myself drawn to her mouth when she speaks. I think it's how she forms the words, I dunno. It just happens, lol. But I'm quite content with a friendship between them at the moment. I haven't had that moment yet where I've thought 'Oh hello... there's something there..'. That may change, but we'll see.

It's absurd isn't it? Because Gillian Anderson is gorgeous and became a bone fide sex symbol. But the execs wanted a busty blonde as Scully. It was Chris Carter (show's creator) who fought for her to play Scully. Yeah, I didn't ship Mulder and Scully at this point when I first watched the show either. Their partnership is the show's strength, whatever form that takes, but they have a great friendship and professional relationship. You can see what you think when we get into other seasons (which I really hope you do 🤞😊).
