Don't worry even though you're a reactor you're still human and you're allowed to feel whatever you want about a Character lol to Kinda help though I think even though Crosshair's Chip is gone One of his traits that makes him so Loyal to the Empire currently is his Desire to be Valued and his Superiority Complex, in the beginning of the First season the Empire rewarded his Loyalty by making him a Squad Commander and valued/rewarded his efforts & Loyalty so of course he made sure it went both ways. And I guess right now even though he was almost forgotten on Kamino and now Demoted he's still determined to earn that same level of value again just by being a Loyal Soldier of the Empire and unfortunately still carrying out their "questionable" orders, and that's hopefully something Cody put in Crosshair's head at the end when he said "We make our own decisions" even though Crosshair sometimes gets these orders that are clearly wrong he can & should choose to not follow them but unfortunately his Loyalty for the Empire & desire to be valued makes him carry them out anyway, and in the end Rampart gave him another assignment which he'll probably view as gaining Trust and value. However something about Rampart's tone this episode gave me the impression he doesn't really care about Crosshair or isn't that interested in him, to Rampart Crosshair's just another Soldier Rampart has to unfortunately deal with but Crosshair can't see it that way yet, I think something that would make Crosshair defect is if he sees how little they really care or value his loyalty no matter what he does.

I think Rampart sees him even less than a soldier, a clone. When Crosshair asked him about Cody, Rampart was like who?? Cody is just CT-2224, and Crosshair is just CT-9904. Shows how 'dehumanising' they think of the clones. You're probably right about Crosshairs' motivations, and I do see him coming around at some point or another. It's sad to think he so badly wants validation from the Empire. Does that stem from how they were treated as 'outcast' clones under the Republic or by their fellow clones. I honestly didn't think about a superiority complex, but looking back I can see it now. Perhaps wanting to prove himself not just over the regs, but the soldiers that are replacing them too. Either way, it will take more to sway me to his side, hopefully as you said Cody left him thinking.

i couldn’t stand crosshair either, so i don’t blame you at all. really says a lot when your actions are so monstrous that you cause other clones (like cody) to rethink their positions and abandon the empire. he sort of fell into the palpatine category for me, he’s fascinating to watch but god damn does he piss me off lol.

Thank you! I felt really bad about being so angry with Crosshair that it would take ALOT to get me onside with him again if he turns back towards the boys. I'll wait and see, though.

if anything, i think it made the reaction better! plus it speaks to writing for the show, that they were able to create an antagonistic character who was genuinely disliked by people. means they did their job well lol
