An interesting, well-done Skinner-centric episode. Yes, it's heavily implied that the old woman, acting through his wife at the hospital, told him where he needs to go. Also, you may not remember, but the two bad guys in this episode were the same guys in "Piper Maru", who intimidated Skinner at the restaurant, warning him about not pursuing the death of Scully's sister. One of them was now killed, the other is missing. Very enjoyable reaction as usual.
