Nice catch, remembering what Deep Throat said in season one, episode "E.B.E.", about killing an alien. And yes, CSM is shown keeping a photo of baby Mulder and his mom. In terms of the history itself, we obviously don't know how much of it is reliable, because it's solely based off of the information The Lone Gunmen had. However, we can accept certainly a significant percentage of it. Remember in "One Breath", CSM says to Mulder "I've watched presidents die.", when Mulder had him at gunpoint. Also, no, the names here are his pseudonyms, not his real name. I think it's a pretty good episode. Not one of my favorites, but still quite good. Most people love it I think. Why did he say to Deep Throat he never killed anyone? Because he's a lying POS, lol. :) Thanks for your reaction, quite enjoyable. Keep watching!

This episode has Cancer Man as like the anti Forrest Gump.

Banger of an episode! Serious yet also fantastical and obviously as it's a story that's been told to Frohike, we don't know just how much of it is true. Very well written and just another example of how creative X-Files was, always pushing boundries as to what an X-Files episode is. At the end, i always though it was his resignation letter that he tore up n threw away. The final "Chocolate Box" monologue is great and just ties it up very nicely. Also right at the start they mention using CSM filter which is a greata little joke as CSM can stand for Cigarette Smoking Man so the filter is literally named after the guy they're currebtly trying to black with said device. It's no surprise he has a counter measure to it either.
