Loved the whole thing with Devon & Maul, Maul's basically speaking a lot of truths to try get her on his side. Maul found out Devon's name by her using his own Lightsaber against him, towards the end the Kyber Crystal inside it "whispered" to it's Master calling to him, Devon got angry & lost balance throughout the fight & as a result her mind was opened to Maul & His Sith Crystal inside it. It's pretty interesting lore which we've rarely ever seen but how often do we see Jedi using Sith Weapons against their own masters lol Yeah Sadly Two-boots is a droid so Protocol supersedes his programming, he can only really look at things objectively right now. He doesn't get the "bad vibe" from the Empire like our Organic characters do so I can't get too annoyed with him because I don't think he's ever dealt with the Empire before, he's unaware of the horrid things they do.

i’m not entirely sure what mauls saber speaking an alien language entails, but there’s just something so creepy about it that i really love lol, it’s like the ring talking to frodo. the language is actually the same “rah tah mah” chanting from the phantom menace, moments before maul kills qui gon. and after watching your reaction i noticed you can also faintly hear it during their tea session. given how maul was constantly using the dark side to keep himself sustained for 10 years, it would make sense that he’d have a deeper connection to the force and by extension his kyber crystal. though, there’s also the factor that maul is kind of insane 😂 so it’s entirely plausible we’re just hearing what’s in his head and not something that’s actually happening. i like that they don’t explain it and leave it up the audience to do what they will with that line lol. speaking of which, they actually recorded sam witwer’s screams and mixed it in with the slashing of maul’s lightsaber. how sick is that?! you might be able to pick up now if you listen for it. the sound design for this show is great. all departments in general though really stepped it up. similar to the original movies, they used real life matte paintings for the backgrounds in a lot of shots, some of the ships in this show are custom built miniatures as well. mixing in practical effects like that for an animated show is so cool. you can tell everyone involved in this show put a lot of care into it, and it paid off massively. it’s stunning
