Hehe I knew there might be some tears shed this episode don't worry 😅 Pretty tragic seeing Maul at a low point, hating his child self for putting him on that Path to begin with that led to so much Torture & Loss, but by the end reassuring that it wasn't his fault but it's all just Sidious and that hatred picked him back up. Then Damnnnn Devon out here committing full on Grand Theft Auto! 🚗 Very not Jedi-Like 🤣 I'm beginning to see what Maul sees & finds appealing hahaha 😂😂 Lastly Id definitely be down for a SOLO rewatch after this show 😂 it's completely up to you though Who knows 😅 you might find it slightly more enjoyable the second time around considering by this point you've seen all of Star Wars and will probably pick up on a lot more things in the movie

i love maul’s motivation’s evolving from a surface level need of simply wanting revenge, to “i won’t let this happen to anyone else”. it’s almost like he’s putting on a front for people, and maybe even to himself. it’s easier for him to fall back onto the sith need for revenge, than it is to confront the very human instinct he has to prevent further abuse from happening. but of course, that’s what make him so tragic lol. he *seems* to have noble intentions, but his way of going about it is not lol. he was never taught another way, it’s the only thing he knows. i like how sam witwer put it in interviews for the press of this show; paraphrasing, but maul deals with the same stuff everyday people do. abuse, trauma, general poor mental health, etc. it’s just that he doesn’t have the same tools that the rest of us have to work through our issues. the only thing he has in front of him are the tools of a super villain. he doesn’t know what else to do with everything he’s been dealt. (not entirely connected to what i was saying, but the moment when maul rejoins with his followers, i thought it was very interesting and intentional visual storytelling that maul was limping and hunched over in the shadows. and then the moment he’s in the light and visible to all of his followers, he’s standing tall and strong. because that’s what he thinks they need.)
