I just started watching your reactions this week. I love your grip and understanding of all the characters and themes this show is trying to potray.

To help out with Eren a bit without going into too much detail. He is doing the Rumbling for several reasons. When he is talking to the little boy Ramzi, he says "For Eldia, for the island" but then right after he says "But there is more than that... I wanted this". His vision of the outside world that Armin showed him in that book way back in the first episode was nothing like he dreamed when he obtained the Attack/Founder Titans powers and saw all of his dad's memories. He is a VERY complicated character and obviously extremely conflicted. You have to remember that he was just an ordinary kid that obtained an insane power, one that can see the past, present, and future all at once. He isn't a God. No human brain can compute all of that information and still really act coherently.

Thanks. It's been over 2 years since I started this show and it's pulled me and my emotions all over the place. The final episode didn't help. It will be up next Monday. I'm sad that it's over.

Oh yeah, definitely! Yesterday I watched the final episode and I haven't stopped thinking about it. So many things became clear to me in that episode, and just how complicated Eren's mind became. Something I'd thought about, but only a little in passing. To have ALL that past and future knowledge in your brain simultaneously would ruin a mind.
