As much as my nostalgia loves Last Action Hero, I have to vote for Usual Suspects. It's the best on the list but The Expendables is an all star high action good time.

Wow! This is a blow out poll. For me, Usual Suspects and Contact are on par with one another. Both are an intellectual type of movie, but different genres/reasons. Contact definitely required more of my attention and brain.... it took me 3 attempts to get all the way through it simply because it's more of a slow burn thinker.... and I can rarely sit through an entire movie and think about nothing else. 🤣 Still, it's a great movie. With Jodie Foster, I pretty much expect all of the movies/characters she's invested in to be much deeper than most.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I believe Contact is a pretty darn good movie. Very underrated. Based on the book written by the late scientist and genius Carl Sagan.

Well, now is your chance to see one or maybe two of them. Usual Suspects is an amazing crime thriller with one of the greatest plot twists of all time. Highly recommend. Contact is a great discussion about spirituality and the relationship between religion and science. Also a must see. Lastly, if you like sci-fi, Stargate is one of the best! Since I watch only reactions to movies I'e seen, I won't be watching the ones that are in the lead. The bottom two are the only ones I've seen and I didn't really like one. So I ended up voting for the one I truly like -- Stargate. It's a fun ride.

I've watched a ton of movies and watch new ones all the time. The ones on the list above that I've never seen, I never wanted to see. I used to go to movies recommended by other people and lived to regret some of those choices. I've learned whose recommendations to value. Otherwise, when I see a preview, I can usually tell if it's a movie I want to see. More importantly, I can't stand it to have people talking while I'm watching movies for the first time. That's why I won't watch reactions to movies I have not seen. It would irritate me beyond measure to have them chatting about seeing actors in other movies/tv shows I've never seen and have no desire to see. Or talking during exposition and missing dialog that reveals information that enhances my appreciation and understanding of the underlying story, the subtext.

I love Stargate and SG-1 with a passion, but if y'all ain't seen Usual Suspects yet then nothing on your lists anywhere is more of a must watch. It's truly a great movie.

RUNAWAY BRIDE (1999) starring the power couple Julia Roberts and Richard Gere...yes, they made movie magic, again! Julia Roberts plays a woman who can't decide which way is up and leaves 3 men at the alter. Richard Gere is the reporter waiting for her to bolt from her next wedding and he's not leaving until she does! Such a great Rom-com! DON'T TELL MOM THE BABYSITTER'S DEAD (1991) starring Christina Applegate and Keith Coogan, it's a super funny comedy where 5 siblings are left alone all summer when their mom leaves the country and the evil babysitter bites the dust! BAD GIRLS (1994) starring Madeleine Stowe, Mary Stewart Masterson, Andie Mac Dowell and a gorgeous 18-year-old Drew Barrymore! Four prostitutes who travel the Old West searching for a better life! It's a great action movie with some romance sprinkled in... making it a great date night movie!
