Please react to ‘Us’ starring Lupita Nyong’o. Her best role!!!

Karl Kraus

Are you going to watch another star wars or the third pirates of the caribbean?

astrobuckshot

Neat choice! I haven't seen this in ages!

Stacey

There's a lot that I appreciate about this movie, especially when I thought about the time it was made. The power, or lack there of, that women had at this time... lots of underlying metaphors about psychology, society, and more obviously religion. The ending was very unexpected, which created a buzz that helped market the movie. There's a lot of interesting elements, so I am excited to see the reaction. 🥰 Mia Farrow's acting is a highlight of this movie for me.

Deborah Lewis

Omg; spooky in a different way( satan)classic, still to this day, best classic next to the exorcist 😱

Dana

Oh this makes my night! Thank you VIP for a great request, and to Asia & BJ for what I know will be an awesome reaction.

Florence Kosek

Excellent choice. Excited to check out your reaction.

Rebecca Karsner

Kyndu

Enjoyed this classic. Thanks for the reaction.

This film came out before there were ratings for movies and no one under 16 was admitted. I went with my friends and we were very excited because we'd never seen a movie this adult before. The book was an enormous best seller so the movie got lots of buzz. What was really disturbing to our young minds was how could a husband sell out his wife for his own career success like that? It was an iconic film in that it gave birth to a whole host of movies using satanic ithemes and such. One thing the movie does not mention is that Rosemary's baby was born on June 6,1966. And the paralells with Rosemary being chosen to have the devil's child were so obvious with the idea of Mary being chosen to have Jesus. I absolutely loved watching your reactions to this and seeing it through your eyes. Thanks for doing such great classic film. By the way, Ruth Gordon won Best Supporting Actress that year for her performance as Minnie Castavet.

Oh no, just clocking in. I know this one. I was about 7 years old when it came on tv. The theme song also scared me. I think my high school music teacher (years later) said the song had "tri-tones" as she was trying to give the class an example of the creepy sound of 3 keys spaced evenly on the keyboard. Creepy tones.

Pink Martini AZ

Your discussion after the movie was fun. You both make me laugh. I feel like the movie Suspiria has a lot of the same feel as this one too.

Jay Rivera

You guys surprise 😮 the hell out of me on this one! Now you should move on to the Tarantino movie y’all haven’t gave any love to yet. “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”. The directors wife is one of the plot points of the movie as she was murdered by Manson. Also that ending where she’s all like “No, NOOOOOOOOO” lol 😂 but the of the best

KimM

Ohhhh this will be a fun ride watching your reactions to this classic! Played the theme song in band back in my school days and it always creeped me out.

KimM

Have to agree with you about "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". Awesome cast with solidly crafted, multiple storylines. It is a great thrill ride movie!

LynnC

2:14:30 - they showed the baby

Jay Rivera

How about Shelley Duvall from the shining hitting those notes 🎶

Michael Wise

Love it when you guys go back into these older classics! THANK U! I'll never forget when I was a kid in the 70's, one night my dad and my oldest brother were arguing about this movie. One of them was saying that they showed the baby at the end of this movie, and the other said no they didn't. Of course, this piqued my curiosity about this movie, but I wouldn't get around to seeing it myself til many years later. Imagine my surprise to find that they do NOT show the baby at the end! Classic 60's horror. Top performances! If you guys want to see another thriller from just a few years later in 1971, check out SEE NO EVIL, also starring Mia Farrow (Rosemary in this). She plays a blind girl being stalked, and for my money she does the best blind act I've ever seen, no pun intended. That's all I'm gonna say. It's a terrific, suspenseful and underrated gem from the 70's.

Skip

Super great choice!!!

Renee S

Oh, hell no. This baby's a demon 😈

Stacey

I just watched a version in October and it for sure had a clip with the baby in it. It was hilarious looking and I busted out laughing. The last time I watched the movie was in the early 80s and it didn't show the baby, and obviously this version didn't either. The one I recently saw in October had to be an extended version with deleted scenes or something.

Darth Brooks

Been waiting for them to react to that one as well. Such a great movie!

Tek

Directed by Roman Polanski. And now you need to watch another great Roman Polanski movie...winner of 3 Academy Awards...Best Picture winner, and 7 time Oscar nominee..."The Pianist"

Rose Dallman

I think the girl the old couple was taking care of, who died from a "fall,," could have been a candidate for a mother, but was decided to be unsuitable.

Michael Wise

Must've been an extended version like you said. Back in the 70s extended versions didn't exist.

David Croft-Ogawa

Great reactions!! Now y’all gotta see The Omen!!

Michele G

I thought it did show the baby ??!! 😂

Michele G

This movie always gave me the creeps !! But Yall are HILARIOUS!!!! Thanks for making me laugh after being super creeped out. I think I’ve only seen this once !!

ChinchillaCrystal

Great reaction! I’ve seen the movie before, long ago. At that time I had not heard all the wild conspiracies about Hollywood. This gave me goosebumps. You just never know what is going on in the world. This movie came out in June 1968. The director, Roman Polanski, was married to actress Sharon Tate 6 months before the movie was released. Sharon Tate was brutally killed by Charles Manson’s “family” of followers in August 1969…when she was 8.5 months pregnant. Seems like Roman brought some bad juju into their lives or something 🤔

Rebecca Karsner

Just finished watching!! I can do horror movies but movies like these scare me the most because I honestly believe a lot of this stuff is true for the most part. Glad you guys liked this! I haven't seen this in about 10 years and it still holds up! The music in this was fantastic! There are 2 movies that I think you guys would like if you want to see more films like this.. definitely need to check out "Mother!" And "Late Night with the Devil" Was trying to save those for October but whatever lol!! Anyways great reaction! Can't wait for thenext movie!! And can't wait for Sons!! The hype is real!!! Lol 😁

Carol Rocha

I can’t go for that..no no……no can do! 🎶

Raider Ron

Guys the director Roman Polansky was married to Sharon Tate who was murdered by Manson k. She was pregnant at the time

Raider Ron

I meant to say the Manson family. She was pregnant with Polanskys child at the time.

Dan Gershgol

Never heard of this one. It really kept my attention the whole way through. Highly recommend The Omen (original).

David Croft-Ogawa

I liked Tarantino’s twist on that story in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.

Red Dwarf

Love the ending of that movie. Wish that had really happened!

Trudy Jenkins

ive heard of this alot over the years never have dared watch it. the scary thing about this is it really can be true in certain aspects. satan is real and so are witches. theses kind of movies are worse than regular horror movies i dont watch those either. thks I guess. lol

Tiffany Payne

The man showing them in start is in a Vincent Price movie House on Haunted Hill, Sharon Tate was supposed to be the main lady & you will notice John Cassevettes plays the man & people next door are Castaves. A man named Roman is in this movie too 😆

Tiffany Payne

PS this whole movie is a build-up to the very last scene......

Tiffany Payne

Theres alot of things women still coukd not do without husbands permission

Tiffany Payne

And yes your right BJ pills are chalky. Also I noticed the nosey neighbor, o,d woman was UNBOTHERED by much, more than that young girl's death too. Nothing made her upset but the devil...comes in many forms, th3 devil persuades you everyday

Ashleigh

I have such a hard time with these films that have the whole damsel in distress thing going. Like if a woman is that naive to just allow themselves to be tampered with, they kinda deserve the consequences. I know it’s a different time period for women but golllllllyyyyyy it’s just hard for me to watch
