Rebecca Karsner

Well this should cheer me up today!! Yay!! Can't wait to watch tonight!!! I love this movie!!! 😀 Hope you guys are having a great day!!!

Darth Brooks

I still gotta catch up on SOA and Carlito's Way. Stormed when I got home and internet went out until 5am 😭 hope everyone had/has a great Friday and evening✌❤ fam!

Rebecca Karsner

Aww man that sucks!! Are you feeling better? I think I got sick too now after coming back from Louisiana 😭😭

astrobuckshot

Great movie! The re-imagining of such a high profile event as the Sharon Tate murder seemed weird to me, but Tarantino still makes it very entertaining.

JL Green

I have such a love/hate relationship with this movie for 1 reason, Bruce Lee. Nuff said.

Darth Brooks

Yup and back to work where oddly enough I didn't get sick my kid brought it home. Hope you don't get sick or worse than you are, the down time is nice but ugh I can't stand a sore throat and stuffy nose. Get well soon!

Dana

My Friday night just got a lot better! I love this movie! Have a great weekend everyone!

Rebecca Karsner

Thanks!! Me neither.. I get a runny nose like randomly but I'm not congested and my head hurts and I just feel off. My brother is picking me up a test to take so hopefully I didn't get anything. I'm just kinda in a haze it feels like.. ughh.. I'm staying away from people as much I can until I know for sure.. but I'm gonna try not to think about it and enjoy this movie reaction tonight!! Lol

Darth Brooks

Better to be safe than sorry. Enjoy the movie I watched it a couple months back for the first time when I found it on hulu can't wait to see the reaction, enjoy!

Lori Mcmyne

Oh no way!!! There goes my favorite two keeping us entertained!

Renee S

Damn it, you guys did it to me again. I was just about to put in one of my favorite DVD's and re-visit that this evening with some chocolatey chippy snacks, but I feel like I should watch this instead. Chocolate chips included 🍪

Rebecca Karsner

Hope you liked it! I definitely prefer Quentins version of the events than what actually happened! 😱

Darth Brooks

It was really good. I did my best to hold off because I knew we'd get a reaction eventually but I caved lmao.

Davey11

The Hateful Eight is another Tarantino banger you need to check out

Lori

Maybe my favorite Tarantino film!

Lori

I'm going to watch now. Am very curious how you two "young'uns" will interpret this, born so many years after the whole Manson family/Sharon Tate murders/Spahn ranch history "basis" (sort of), of this movie. This should be a hoot!! ✌️

The Keto Rican Luis Casillas

Quentin Tarantino is a genius. He wrote this movie and basically is a story of what if the Manson Murders didn’t happen the way it happen. In real life the Manson Family killed Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) who was pregnant and her friends. Margot Robbie is also the one that Plays DiCaprio wife in Wolf of Wall Street and also Barbie. Quentin Tarantino changed the real life events and like BJ said put a twist to make it seem like the Manson Family went into their Neighbors house instead and ran into a bad ass Cliff Booth his dog Brandy ,Rick Dalton and even Rick’s Wife Francesca who snuck a punched their as well.

The Keto Rican Luis Casillas

Fun Fact. The one that plays Tex is Austin Butler that guy that plays Elvis in the Elvis Movie. And the girl from Stranger Things is Uma Thurman (Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction) and Ethan Hawke (Training Day) daughter.

3BeerThunder

Did you catch the film by Antonio margarhetti idk how you spell it but that was one of the bastards fake names from inglorious bastards during the film scene at the end

3BeerThunder

If you or anyone reading this wants a deep dive into the Manson story read Tom oneils book CHAOS: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the secret history of the sixties he’s also been on Rogan and it’s a great interview that kinda goes over the book but that book is so crazy and changes everything previously thought of about the Manson murders

Eamonn Locke

It's a great read. MK -Ultra, Operation Chaos, Project Artichoke, Operation Mockingbird etc. don't get the attention they merit. I'm glad to hear Rogan talk about them and try to bring more attention to these programs.

Michele G

One big thing yall missed, in real life Sharron Tate and her friends were murdered by the hippies. She was pregnant in real life too. In this movie the hippies are killed. Almost like “this is how it should have happened” type movie. Great reaction guys !!! Love this movie !!

Bill B.

So glad this one won the poll! I absolutely love how it ends. I’ve watched the full film maybe twice, but countless times just watched the ending. Best Tarantino ending in my opinion.

Bill B.

I love how in that scene the guy who spoke the least amount of Italian could actually pull off the accent! Unlike GORLOMI 😂😂😂

Bill B.

That’s what makes Tarantino endings so great when they’re related to history, Inglorious Basterds, Django… the endings everyone wished would have happened!

Rose Dallman

"Once Upon A Time" if the hippies (Charles Manson cult) had gone to the house next door. Sharon Tate and her baby, Abigail Folger, Jay Sebring and the others would have lived. Amazing to consider the "what ifs." So many stars in this movie and references to the 60s zeitgeist. Another Tarantino gem.

Smitty Benzo

The word "puss" is a slang term for face derived from an 1880,s Irish term "pus". So Rick Dalton was calling the child actor pumpkin face.

Pink Martini AZ

I need to watch that. We have it saved on our DVR but I keep procrastinating.

Rebecca Karsner

Quentin Tarantino basically re-wrote history with this one... and I absolutely loved it. Basically everyone they showed at Polanskis house at the end were killed by the Manson cult. Margot Robbie was pretty spot on playing Sharon Tate! I think she's a great actress! You guys definitely gotta see I,Tonya where she plays Olympic skater Tanya Harding. She's fantastic! There were a ton of actors in this!! And idk if you guys noticed but the actress who played Squeaky was Dakota Fanning who was the little girl in Man on Fire with Denzel. She has always been a great actress all her career in the industry! Anyways glad you guys enjoyed this.. you definitely need to see Tarantinos "The Hateful Eight" and "Death Proof" as well. 😁🙌

Pink Martini AZ

Also the blonde lady who brought the baby to visit Sharron is Rumor Willis, Bruce Willis and Demi Moores daughter. I also just realized recently that the hippie girl that cliff gave a ride to is the daughter of actress/model Andie MacDowell. I see the resemblance now that I know. It always trips me out knowing that Tex dude was the guy who played Elvis.

Pink Martini AZ

My favorite part in this movie is when Dalton gets all pissed off making his midnight margaritas, paying high taxes to live in a nice area to have noisy, dirty hippies ruin it. Then yelling at them and slurping from his full blender out there in the street. I crack up every time. He really hates hippies. Lol. On a side note… is it me or does Tarantino have a foot fetish? He seems to like featuring scenes where the actresses are not only showing their bare feet, but dirty bare feet. And in some kind of a rude way too. I have that same expression Asia did everytime I see it in his movies.

LumpyGrits

Yep. Crazy how much Margot looked like Sharron

CJ-97

Great movie guys can't wait to press play , also Blood Diamond with Leonardo decaprio and Solomon vandy great story set in Africa yous would like it , much love guys ❤❤

Michele G

lol yeah he has a thing for feet. Foot shots are in all of his movies. 😂

Michele G

My paw paw used to call me sweet pus 🥰 also there’s sour pus (when you’re mad) 😂 I’ve heard that my whole life

Michele G

The first time I was watched this, my stomach was in knots bc I knew what was about to happen and when Cliff started kicking their ass i literally said out loud “HELL YEAH!!!” I have never been so excited about an ending of a movie before. It was fn awesome !! I wish it had ended like that in real life

s8150f

That was Jose Feliciano who sang California Dreaming.

Justin Freeman

Cliff's car is a Volkswagen Karman Ghia. An inexpensive "roadster" from the 60's, also the same car that Uma Thurman drove at the end of Kill Bill vol 2.

KimM

Can't add anything more to what has already been commented here about this awesome movie. This was so enjoyable to watch again....especially with you two lovely people! Great reaction!!

Wendy Garner

Blood Diamond is an absolute masterpiece. . Way underrated. . I've suggested it about 100 times. . I'm with you, my favorite Leonardo Dicaprio film by far!

Syl

I love this movie. This is what should have happened back then.

Joshua Coe

Hope everyone has a great weekend! It's my work Friday, then off till Tuesday.

dedknedy

Great reaction to one of my favorite Tarantino movies. I wish you would have watched the credits though.

Carol Rocha

I wish it had been this way, that it went down. 😓

David Croft-Ogawa

So excited to watch this with you! Great reactions!! I love the way you’re able to predict a lot of the dialogue.

Alex

In real life the Manson followers went next door to Polanskis house, tied them up, and stabbed them all to death.

Matt

I know this is an unpopular opinion but this movie is pretty boring. Even with the "surprise" ending to the what we know originally happened in real life. Good reaction as always tho <3

Robert

i like these retro productions a lot. i love the 60s! mad men is so good, hope you do it someday

Robert

oh yeah, an i always pitch it, but entourage is the best hollywood tv show capturing early 2000s :P

Josh

Agreed. I don't hate the movie, but definitely not in my favorite Tarantino films. Not even in the top 5

Pink Martini AZ

I like Mad Men too. Have you seen the Queens Gambit? It’s only a mini series but it’s a great period piece and a fantastic story.

Matthew Stewart

Unfortunately Sharon Tate and her friends really did get murdered by The Manson Family while Polanski was away.

Pam

I remember the Sharon Tate murders while growing up in Los Angeles. It really shocked all of the city and the entire nation. This reimagining of the story by Tarantino always makes me feel sad about how it all really turned out. Yes, many of the names in the movie were the names of real actors during the time period.

William Rice

Some fun facts. The cars in this movie were the real deal. The actual Manson station wagon was available to use for shooting but creeped everyone out so they made an exact replica. Also the scene from FBI it was the exact same Army truck used in the show. Imagine this: they actually got permission from most of the businesses on Hollywood blvd to remodel the fronts to look like they did back then. The making of extras for this movie is insane and that’s just a few things.

Pink Martini AZ

I love Blood Diamond too. I feel like it’s one of Leo’s best acting too.

Dan Gershgol

Only seen this once. The ending is worth the wait.

Daniel Mahowald

Squeaky Fromme went on to attempt the assassination of the President. She was released from prison after serving 34 years of a life sentence.

Dan Gonya

The Great Escape is fantastic by the way. I think you guys would enjoy it.

Dan Gonya

Ya know, I know the movie is going on and stuff, but I can't help just lookin' Brandy the pitbull, cuz she reminds me so much of mine that passed away a few years ago. Of course Brandy is a red nose, and mine was a blue, but I just love them all! Okay, back to the climax of the movie.

Eamonn Locke

Had to revisit this one. It may be a hot take, but this is in my top 3 Tarantino films. The setting, the characters, and the music. I get the argument that it was boring and didn't pick up until the end, but as a history buff and knowing about the Mansons, I find it interesting.
