Pfeiffer (Catwoman) trained to use the whip. Look up the videos of it. It's insane. Also another reason to love DeVito (Penguin) is that he used to wear the Penguin costume home and scare his kids and kept the body suit hanging up in his living room. His acting in this is extremely underrated.

What kind of parents would throw their child away? The Spartans. Here's a fun fact for ya. BJ, you said how amazing it sounded in theaters and actually, 5.1 surround sound was introduced in theaters in 1992 with the release of Batman returns. I just learned something new today. Parasol is another way to say umbrella, evidently. lol Ah BJ that's good attention to detail, I really didn't pay no attention to how she drank that milk, at 30:32 is when the licking begins. Funny guy but yea that's the last time Michael Keaton and Tim Burton worked on the batman films at that time. mind you. But the 3rd has to be my personal favorites. Excellent review, I look forward to the 3rd ones reaction.

The best way to explain when a new Batman movie comes out is to not look at them as "remakes" but as different stories. Yeah it shows the same characters but within comics they go through many different stories. Within Batman comics alone he's had hundreds up on hundreds of different stories (most popular ones being The Long Halloween, The Killing Joke, The Dark Knight Returns part 1 and part 2, Batman Year One, just to name a few). Just wanted to simplify it for y'all so everytime y'all see a Batman movie you guys aren't puzzled if it's a remake or anything.

Batman Returns and the first Batman are my favorite of the Batman movies. First, I simply enjoy Tim Burton's films. He has such a unique POV when it comes to character development and themes, plus a stunning visual style. The first Batman focuses equally on the development of the main character Batman and the villan Joker, along with a consistent simple theme and plot line. It's a great introduction to the character. Batman Returns is much more complex with primary focus on the development of multiple villans (very little about Batman) and deviating themes/plot... themes of dual personalities, political power/corruption, misogyny are all intertwined. Albeit the characters aren't realistic, but the themes and underlying plot very much are. If I recall correctly, this movie didn't do that well and that's why it was Tim Burton's last in the franchise. Which blows my mind because I think it's genius in concept, plot, and all around cinematography.

Another great reaction! I'm not a big fan of the Schumacher ones (Batman Forever and Batman & Robin). For me, they have some nostalgia, but overall, they are too cheesy. Bat nipples were a thing once lol Batman V Superman is very good, but I can't wait for you guys to watch 'The Batman' (2022) with Robert Pattinson. It brings back more of the dark and gritty detective side of Batman. Then we can get into 'The Penguin' series. Colin Farrell kills this role.

This movie can be seen as a Tim Burton movie with Batman theme. Burton was granted much more creative control after the previous movie’s success. The result is a movie that has his signature thumbprints all over it: the much heavier gothic feel, more psychological, more melancholic. Still, this is the movie that made me a Batman fan when I was 9 years old.

To answer a question you asked early on Asia, that device Selina Kyle picked up is called a stun gun. A taser fires barbed electrodes, however, colloquially speaking, the terms taser and stun gun are often used interchangeably to describe the same device. But technically speaking, she picked up a stun gun, whereas typically only cops carry tasers.

Vichyssoise is a potato and leak soup that is served cold and it's actually quite delicious. But I'd probably pop it in the microwave cuz I don't like cold soup very much.😂
