Just googled it, cos I'm not a fucking nerd who lives in a basement. According to thw marvel universe, blade had to be injected with vampire blood to remain a "daywalker".... when Frost was injected with the same shit and turned, but doesn't need to vampire up, if you will. Blade was born a half vampire.... im still confused. But it makes me wanna buy the comics. It came out in 73' apparently. Same year Hip-hop was born. Pretty fuckin neat. 👌

I've seen this movie I don't know how many times but everytime Asia jumped it made me jump too.. I agree, you should get to Blade 2 soon. Blade 3 Trinity is ok, but worth finishing out the movies.

I'm so happy to see you guys reacting to this one. Blade, as played by Wesley Snipes was the first black badass Marvel movie with an R rating. When Black Panther came out, everybody was all "wow! Black Marvel superhero!" but Blade came out in 98. Also Deadpool had an R rating and people praised it as though it has never happened before. Again, I point to Blade! And there's 3 of them, one with Ryan Reynolds even! Blade rules!

Plus its the first time to introduce bullet time before the Matrix. He knows Martial arts, Demolition Man. But he definently tuned up his skill for this movie. Wesley Snipes I believe is a self taught martial artist with his own style and everything. We gotta put Demolition Man on the list. Wesley Snipes plays a fantastic villain up against Sylvester Stalone.

Believe it or not This was made before Marvel established the Marvel Cinematic Universe so it is in fact the first serious OG Marvel movie. Additionally, Wesley Snipes originally wanted to make The Black Panther but the rights were with another studio so Blade became his next choice.

Wesley Snipes started in Karate when he was a tween, and is a legit black belt. Those are the moves you see him do crisply. The other martial art that he is currently proficient at is Hapkido (striking combined with joint locks and throws), but not sure what level of training he was at when he filmed this particular Blade movie because his technique looks like a beginner's level. Still, what he's able to accomplish for this movie with martial arts is impressive. Snipes was a pioneer for the MCU movies and helped put black superheroes and martial arts back into mainstream movies. 💜💪 The roles he chooses to be in are often bring change and influence societal roles. I will always love Snipes most for accepting the role of Noxema Jackson in 'Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar'.
