Ice Cube wrote the movie with DJ Pooh, he did not direct it. It was actually Directed by F. Gary Grey, who makes a cameo as the store worker, saying "Get off the floor, it ain't even wet over here!" He also directed Straight Outta Compton, making this a full circle with Ice Cube. and another great movie F. Gary Grey directed is Law Abiding Citizen. I know you guys have seen that because that's one of my favourite reactions of yours. (oh, yeah. Side note. DJ Pooh, co-writer was also in this. he "Got Knocked Tha Fuckout!" and also Debo had a very memorable cameo in The Dark Knight.)

I was 9 when this movie came out, and my father watched it every day. He had it on bootleg, lol. I felt so cool because my dad let me watch it, even though it was really that bad in terms of cursing by today's standards.

Man that Boondocks shirt is fire I have the poster on my wall now I need the shirt. And yes RIP John Witherspoon, Tommy Lister, and Anthony Johnson they will be missed. For all the John Witherspoon fans if you haven't seen it he had a cooking series on YouTube called Cookin' for Poor People. I highly recommend it, it's short but great.

This is one of those movies where you know almost every line 😂 Classic! I had never suggested this movie because I thought for sure you both would have seen this movie. I still can't believe Asia has never seen this whole movie. But I really enjoyed this reaction!

I can’t even begin to explain the memories I have with this movie. 1995 I was 17 years old. Wow !!!!! We used to watch this movie every freakin day !! My boyfriend at the time used to quote it all the time. 😂😂. What a great movie with great memories. Great cast, great messages. Wow thanks for letting us watch it with yall again. I was literally laughing out loud.

When it comes to comedy this is one of my favorites. This one more than the sequels is such a time capsule movie and it makes me feel warm every-time I watch it. Especially the scene where John Witherspoon is talking to ice cube about the gun. Perfect! 👌

The only reason anybody would need to carry a pistol like that would be for self-defense. I carry a gun, but I carry it legally, and I carry concealed. And 99% of the time a situation can be de-escalated with words and wisdom, and you let cooler heads prevail. I would only draw my weapon as a last resort; If me or my family or someone who I've decided to take under the mantle of my protection is in danger of immediate extreme bodily harm or death. Otherwise, seriously it ain't worth the paperwork, the lawyers fees, and the prison time, because you will be arrested, regardless, even if you were in the right. Carrying a firearm is a huge responsibility.
