Check out no way out (1987) starring Kevin costner and Gene hackman , crimson tide (1995) also gene hackman plus denzel Washington and the negotiator (1998) Sam Jackson Kevin spacey

Edgar Gonzalez

Classic!... oh BTW, I also recommend "kiss of the dragon" and "Romeo must die"...you guys need a little more martial arts in your variety. These 2 are great to start

Jay Rivera

From years back I have a signed “Dead Presidents” Poster thanks to the lead actor Larenz Tate that I adore. I rewatched this earlier this year and so many of these films feel like the movies they don’t make anymore, goodfellas/boogie nights/pulp fiction. Hands down Hughes Bros made such a great character study and this is a classic. Great choice!!!!!

Lewsifer

Sweet!!! Another hood classic to watch with yall.

Tek

Not just my favorite Hughes Brothers film, but also one of my favorites period! The soundtrack is dope too! Great reaction!!

Jamel Ramseur

"Free Angela" was reference to activist Angela Davis, who was on trial in the 70's

Karim

A bunch of my friends and I went dressed as them for a Halloween party. I would only do it if the face paint was right, and it was identical. I’ll never forget how everyone paused when we walked in together. 😂😂😂

Dan Gonya

I know I watched this because I got the reference in Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinkin Yo Juice in da Hood.

Dan Gonya

Danny Elfman did the music for this. Typically he does all Tim Burton stuff.

Kyndu

"Blood in Blood out".

Renee S

I'll be on this one as soon as I can :) Killer soundtrack too

Karim

The Hughes Brothers have always been good at long one shots. You also see a great one shot in the shootout scene in The Book Of Eli

A.Light33

Clifton Powell, aka Cutty, is always a crazy or sneaky dude in every movie. Terrance Howard always saying "mayne" cracks me up, and Larenz Tate has been a long-time crush.

Larry Purnell

MAN!!!! I AGREE! THEY MUST REACT TO THAT MOVIE!👍🏽

Tek

Loved the nod to 'Taxi Driver' with the rear-view mirror shot during Anthony's taxi ride home from the airport. The Hughes Brothers are huge fans of Scorsese, and it's great to see that influence in 'Dead Presidents'. For those who haven't seen it, 'Taxi Driver' is a must-watch!

Sam Fisher

Free Angela is reference to Angela Davis. She was a well known member of the Black Panther movement. Spearheading their education programs as well as speaking and protesting in Los Angeles and around the country. She spent her fair share of time in jail.

Stan Ross

Yes I’m eating in the morning

Smitty Benzo

BJ is right. Central banks destroy old cash and coins to keep usable currency in circulation.

Christina Terwilliger

I fully get the PTSD and survival that Anthony was going through in this movie....and the way they treated the soldiers coming back from the war My husband is in the Army and is about to retire after 25 yrs....I am having to get a 2nd job just so we can survive when he retires because the government loves to fight veterans on disability so u til he gets that....and he has PTSD from his tours in Iraq and Afghanistan....the stuff they saw and had to do...it's tough And when he was in Afghanistan helping with the pullout....when he got back to the airport in the USA...people literally spit on him and his guys and yelled at them

Ryan Heslin

... and AMERICAN ME (1992)

Larry Purnell

Asia your face is priceless when Cleon cut that dudes head off. Stuffing heads in backpacks comment is funny as hell!🤣😂 I Watched this reaction twice. Blood In Blood Out is another must see! It's another highly hood classic. 🕺

Dan Gershgol

Chris Tucker must of been high on blue magic. Money Talks is another great Chris Tucker movie.

Jah (jakwiq) (Jah Quick)

Another 90s banger. This was a powerful one. Saw this a rack of times back in the day. Had the movie and the soundtrack

vceisdead

This movie is only 1 year older than me (1996, 28 years) so I definitely know the feeling lol. I remember having this movie around as kid on dvd thinking it was a horror movie by the name, and only remembering the intro scene. Coming back to watch this movie as a adult was a pleasant surprised. One of my favorites.

CJ-97

Yes I have put this movie on here before hope they get to it if they can it is good 👍

B.J. Viney

New here. How is everyone doing?

HisGreatness86

Still one of my favorite movies of all time. Tragic story

Jacqueline Dyson
