Kim Cottingham

This will beautiful to watch. Hi asia and bj! Hope yall are doing well

Joseph Heady

He got diagnosed with ligma at a young age

Kevin

This is my favorite film of all time. I'm excited to see your reaction to it.

Renee S

Yes. Good coming of age tale. One of the ones Stephen King himself is proud to own as an adaptation of one of his stories.

patrick hayes

R.I.P River Phoenix. He died too young.

Eamonn Locke

One of my all time favorites! "I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?"

astrobuckshot

❤️ this movie. This will be fun!

Carol Rocha

SO EXCITED YALL!! This is such a great movie!! 🎥 A classic!! ❤️❤️Happy Easter you guys! Love yall!

Ashleigh

This is one of my favorite movies. Excited to watch 😊

Darth Brooks

TGIF!!! I was hoping this would pop up tonight. Diving in now I hope everyone enjoys the reaction and has a fantastic weekend ✌️ 💜 fam! Edit* Y'all should react to Florence & the Machines cover of Stand By Me on the music channel. Such a great rendition I think you will enjoy it.

Me

Can't watch for some reason 😭

Ashleigh

You guys should check out more of River Phoenix movies. He was real talented, so sad that he died too young.

SAPPER92

Is anyone else not able to watch the video?

Dan Gonya

oh look, it's Wesley Crusher!

JessicaB

Woohoo! Long day and I see this?? You two rock 💛

BRENDA

It won't play on my Roku, like it normally does

BRENDA

It doesn't give the option to cast to my Roku, like it normally does

SAPPER92

Wait what!!! Lol I didnt even know you could cast it and I have a roku tv

BRENDA

Is there something different that we need to do to be able to "cast" this video on our tv? It won't give me the option to choose my TV?(Roku). If anyone has info, please share or Asia & BJ please let us know?

Justin Freeman

It wasn't fair to pit ROBOCOP against this one! This one is exactly half way between IT and Goonies...... Still though......... ROBOCOP!!!

Me

I can't even play it on my phone. Have no issues with other videos playing as I am watching an older upload currently on cast.

Me

Can't get it to play on any devices. 🤷‍♀️

captkeebz

I think they were just talking about being in different classes in the same school. The 'advanced' path vs. the rest.

BRENDA

Thank you for that info....I hope that maybe they need to do something on their end. Again, thanks for the help/info:)

Heather C.

Finally. Feels like I’ve waited centuries!!! Nice call on spotting some of the cast from “Lost Boys”! Yup. It’s both of them. Oh that was amazing. My life was completed at 52:08 and 1:09:20. BJ made a whole dance in this one! Right around the second time listed above. Nice moves. Hehe. Priceless. Crazy part is I have a cousin who looks AND acts almost identical to Vern!!! So when I see this movie it’s a whole laugh fest for me. So glad y’all got to watch it. This was my childhood. I always hung with the boys (mainly cousins) so we would end up about 10 to 20 miles away with no regard for anything. Parents never had a clue. Some of the best times. And Asia ima need some more songs from you. Your voice is too beautiful to hide! Love you guys.

Carol Rocha

Peace & blessings! Love yall! So great to watch this awesome movie again! Thanks for making my Friday night!!

JBGirlNextDoor

Hearing River Phoenix say "I'll never make it out of this town will I" and knowing that he never made it out of the town he really didn't wanna be a part of, is strange and heartbreaking.

JBGirlNextDoor

Also I saw Asia catch that it was based on a book by Stephen King. It's basically autobiographical and King thought it was the best adaptation of any of his writings ever made. 💛

Dan Gonya

That blonde asshole was also in A Time to Kill. His same is Keifer Sutherland. Donald Sutherland, his dad was in A Time to Kill too. There was a while there where I thought Kiefer Sutherland played nothing but assholes, but he's been in some decent stuff. He was the lead is Designated Survivor.

Delia Sewell

Wil Wheaton, a chubby Jerry O'Connell. the late River Phoenix & Corey Feldman. Great cast. Keifer Sutherland was the bully. Son of the great Donald Sutherland.

tarav

Can't play it.. 😪

Saraka Smith

Asia and BJ- This movie was made first followed by The Lost Boys a year later. Great reaction! Enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you.

Dan Gonya

I didn't read the other comments but I highly suggest you look up the Family Guy episodes that are based on these Stephen King short stories. And laughter was had by all.☺️

Jordan Jackson

This was a really good one guys, and Asia! you can sing!

pkleo73

ok not a movie, but that '24' show. he was good in that also.

Eamonn Locke

"Stand by Me" was one of the first songs I learned to play on bass in my youth. The bass line is so simple, yet so iconic. A timeless song.

Kimberly Tyda

I was unable to play it on my tablet, where i usually watch. But the video worked on my laptop. Same with one of the Wire videos from the other day.

Kimberly Tyda

He had such a maturity to his acting, even at such a young age. I was totally heartbroken when he died.

Eamonn Locke

They reacted to a few of them on their YouTube channel. It's hilarious. I believe it's titled Family Guy Roasts everything Black.

BRENDA

Thank you for your help. I guess it likes some playing formats, and not others. Thanks again:)

Shenita

Great reaction I really enjoyed watching the movie with you guys it's one of my favorites The other kid in the movie from Lost boys was Corey Feldman those boys were all about 14 when they did this movie and that one kid played Chris that was River Phoenix he died of a drug overdose in LA on Halloween of 1993 Also check out my bodyguard with Matt Dillon 1980 *Asia you need to sing more your voice is beautiful 🌹❤️

Arjan Pelle

Lovely to hear Asia sing along a bit. That old style of music suits her. But moreover: great reaction to a great great movie.

Jeff

I can't watch keeps saying something went wrong same thing happened with up in smoke

Elizabeth DeMerie

My BFF at 13 and I lied to our parents and went on an NYC adventure all night! We lied and each told our parents we were sleeping over each other's house........the next morning they ran into each other at the local bodega....lol we were both grounded for a full month

KimM

Thank you for the great comments and reactions Asia and BJ. Loved rewatching it you!! The best revenge barfing scene in a movie I've ever seen. The scene with the leeches, what a nightmare for those boys!! All around a great movie!!

Critical87

Hell yeah my boss tells me to stay home today and I still get paid. Then I come here and you guys reacted to one of my favorite movies of all time. Cheers from NY...p.s you guys should watch the movie RUDY you would love it. Such a feel good movie.

Jeff

Same here

Jeff

Yes

Sapporo Dragon

OK, this is a great classic and all, but we need to go to the Wire! BTW, did you know that John Singleton played homage to this movie in Boys in the Hood when they all went to see the body as well as the end of the when “Doughboy” disappeared…Also, that was Kiefer Sutherland from 1986. He was 20 yo then… This movie came out a year before Lost Boys.

Sapporo Dragon

So the song came out in 1962, the movie came out in 1986… Oh and $2.38 in 1959 would be $25.98 today.

Dan Gonya

This is one of these movies that whenever I notice that it's on, I'll turn it on, regardless of what part it's at. When he pulls the Colt on Ace and calls him a cheap, dime store hood...damn that's awesome!

Dan Gonya
>>171413216

And we get stuck with captain hairlip forever...then again, he's got a couple good movies.

captkeebz

what browser and OS you fellas using?

Dan Gonya

You know what's crazy? I've never seen a single episode of 24 and it's Jack Bauer-y goodness. That is definitely something I'll have to binge one day. Thank you for reminding me of its existence!

Bmac Tattoo

It's 4:20 today, a great day to react to Cheech and Chongs Next Movie! Happy Easter Asia, Bj and everyone.

Justin Freeman

Five days no Wire? Even Jesus came back after three! Happy Easter from The ROBOCOP guy.

Stacey

Florence + The Machines are amazing. Love their cover.

Stacey

This movie is consistently referred to by writers and directors as inspiration for their own works. There's something special about Stephen Kings ability to write childhood banter in his coming of age stories. Probably why Asia said it has the feel of IT. Castle Rock is the fictional town that Stephen King uses in several of his stories that helps give a creepy ominous feel to the settings. While the plot isn't autobiographical, King has said the novella/movie is largely based on events that happened in his life, including witnessing a kid get hit by a train. The casting in this is too notch as well. All 4 of the boys went on to star in major films and TV shows (Will Wheaton, Corey Feldman, River Phoenix, Jerry O'Connell)... Not to mention Keifer Sutherland, Richard Dreyfus, and John Cusack.

pkleo73

I started watching it at the time it came out. That, rescue me and Battlestar... I think was on roughly around the same time. But then I was moving and things were changing in my life and I just dropped it and never went back to it. So I might have to do the same LOL

Angelfish Luva

All-Time favorite movie, this and Goonies are my 1-2. Everything about this is just gold IMO. The soundtrack is too good!

Stacey

Another good Keifer Sutherland movie, with Sally Field, is Eye for an Eye. He plays his role so well that it is difficult for me to disassociate him from it when I see him in other movies. 😅 He is so versatile at playing different roles, from a bully to dudley-do-right.

C

Great, Looking forward to more!

Renaldo

Pretty cool how you said this seems like IT, both movies from Stephen King novels

Jordan Jackson

The first 2 episodes of season one were good.

Mami's Gatos

Everytime I click i says something went wrong... 🙄 🤷‍♀️ idk

J B

id say this and American Pie are my favorite coming of age films. awesome

Justtired

Vern is played by Jerry O’Connell. He was Sydney’s boyfriend in Scream 2 River Phoenix (older bother to Joaquin) was a tremendous talent. We lost him way too soon. I highly recommend his movie Running on Empty.

Dan Gershgol

I never got around to watching this movie until now.

Jason Ragan

Another amazing film based on a story written by Stephen King! I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere, but another movie that you reviewed, sort of early on, was also based on a short story by Stephen King. That movie is The Shawshank Redemption!

Nizate

Anyone that’s ever smoked will tell you that’s the best time to have a cigarette after supper lol..When I grew up in the 80s, we did things like this all the time. So in rural Oregon in the 50s boys did stuff like this often. I will say though 30 miles is a little bit far. This is such a great movie.

@Tom Godson

Teddy was also in The Lost Boys, he's one of the lads from the comic book store with the red bandana across his head

@Tom Godson

He was also Sheldons older brother in the big bang theory, and also Will wheaten who plays Gordie is also in the big bang theory

Tiffany Payne

RIP RIVER THIS WAS WHY HE IS ONE OF BEST ACTORS & TRUE TO CHARACTER, PEACEMAKER TOO

Tiffany Payne

RIVER PLAYED A GENIUS STUDENT ON FAMILY TIES.

Tiffany Payne

& this was based generally on Stephen Kings life- the leeches scene really happened to King.
