Mark your calendar. Today will forever be remembered as Asia and BJ's "Battle of the Bagel". 🗡🥯

James Forrest

Lol I believe BJ got plenty of those calls ;) Watching you two is a trip! It makes the enjoyment of the show all the greater. Keep it coming guys, I am loving these. Loved the pleasure you both got out of that tiny glimpse of Bill Rawls living his best life in the bar! So many beautiful little moments in this show, little gems like that, which are like wee Easter Eggs in the open for the real fans who catch every detail. It fulfils no story function at all; it's just there as a great little insight into a character who has been amongst my favourites since Episode 1.

I have a bagel with my cream cheese. Cinnamon raisin.

Gotta love ol' Reginald 'Bubbles' Cousins taking that $300 of police drug-buy money, then turning around and haggling about the price with Preston 'Bodie' Broadus. Said negotiation of settling on $275 — after he first attempted to get the 30 pills for $250, of course — earned 'Bubs' another $25 to pocket. After all, that $25 was actually an additional amount on top of what he was already going to be making afterwards. Thus, he was able to tack on an extra $25 to whatever else that he would be getting paid out by Shakima 'Kima' Greggs & Jimmy McNulty for doing that particular round of C.I. work as Kima's personal confidential informant. In other words: 'Bubbles' sure does know how to run a hustle for his so-called "troubles", as he would be frequently strategically pulling off scams and schemes out on these ghetto streets!

Not that this minor / minute / minuscule detail even matters, but I do wonder what McNulty actually meant by "You eat the cookie first?" Like, was he referring to 'Prez' eating the cookie prior to reading the message inside, or was he instead implying that one should wait until finishing the meal? I could see some treating the cookie as a dessert item after having their dinner beforehand, whereas others make it essentially an "appetizer" so to speak. I suppose there are several other methods, too. I mean, is there even an existent general consensus, as it pertains to proper fortune cookie etiquette? For instance, some people probably do not care at all one way or another whatsoever, let alone worry / fret / stress over strictly sticking to some routine about when is the right time to ingest the cookie. I would guess that there are some who neither eat the cookie nor open the wrapper to read the fortune, thus simply discarding all together, whereas others might read the message and merely dispose of the cookie. Could there be folks who enjoy the cookie, yet could not care less when it comes to the fortune, hence never even bothering to read it and throwing out the strip of paper in the trash? Perhaps another separate group of people out there dislike the cookie, thus toss that, but still like the fortune portion, and will read it? Speaking of those folks who do read the fortune: Do they put any stock in it holding truth, a la astrology buffs who believe in horoscopes? Or, rather, do they just take it with a proverbial grain of salt? Furthermore, irrespective of whichever side of the fence that they may just so happen to fall regarding this specific matter, do the readers also jettison the fortunes? Or, conversely, do they prefer to save them for whatever reason? Well anyway, as y'all can see, on this issue there are many aplenty — as in an abundant amount, even a slew — of clearly crucial / critical / pivotal / vital / very important, interrogative questions via inquisitive inquiries! Therefore, in my own personal opinion — a most humble one, at that — said subject matter / topic at hand is certainly deserving of answers! Or not! But hey, this is all just some (Chinese) food for thought. LOL!

I'm pretty sure I'm speaking for your entire fan base when I say, it's been 3 hrs. We need more Wire stat.

BJ just lost all of his New York and New Jersey subscribers with that bagel comment.😆🤦🏻‍♂️ but seriously though BJ, when your wife makes you something you’re supposed to eat it and rave about how much you like it! You’re just trying to get in trouble.😜

M4RRS

FYI: Actually, Theresa D'Agostino, who has been getting busy with Jimmy McNulty as of late, did not sleep with Tommy Carcetti. That was a completely different woman whom he cheated on his wife with during a recent, previous episode. We have not seen her again since then. As for Theresa, Tommy wanted her to be a part of his political team in an advisory capacity, as they were old acquaintances, and he was well aware of how she excels within her occupational field. Obviously, she has accepted the offer of the role to assist him. However, they have never been romantically / intimately involved up to this point.

I love how Lamar thought Brother Mouzone was calling him a "cocksucker" when the latter told the former that his homophobia would be written all over his face, since he would appear conflicted about the gay club once inside the place. Essentially, through a cleverly designed way of writing, that part effectively illustrated / demonstrated a clear contrast among those two men, at least in terms of the difference between their respective intelligence levels.

M4RRS

Hey, Asia, why have you been referring to "Stringer" as "Slinger" all of a sudden? LOL! Albeit, I thus must just say that your version IS in a way actually admittedly an aptly fitting moniker, despite technically not being said correctly.

M4RRS

By being present inside such an establishment, I, for one, find it both believable & beyond fair to deduce that Rawls has been revealed as a closeted homosexual.

Lmao his reaction had me dying the first time. “You already calling me a cocksucker”

Hamsterdale is one of my favorite tv show arcs like ever. Its a realistic illustration of the positive and negatives of making the “harmless” crimes legal. This is definitely one of the best seasons of The Wire.

40:20 I could tell right away he was a cop. He even moved like a cop, a trained one. Prez is a genius-idiot I swear. 58:20 D’Angelo truly changed for the better and walked away from it all, even from snitching. He did it for family. I wonder if part of Avon’s anger was also directed at himself for being a snake. 1:05:40 He killed the boy for laughing at his shoes. 1:06:13 She’s never slept with Carcetti. Also, Theresa is sapiosexual—attracted to intellect. She just wants McNulty as a human dildo. 2:12:24 omg yall 🤣 you mean “easy penis”.

Baltimore, Maryland = "BODY-MORE MURDALAND" [Intro Graffiti] Other various versions of similar colloquial phrases/expressions bearing the same general sentiment include, but are likely not limited to, the following renditions: "Body(-)more/Balti-Morgue/Body-Morgue/Bullet(-)more/Bullet-Morgue ( , ) Murderland/Murdaland"

That kid wasn't supposed to go to Colvin. He was just telling Stringer that Colvin needed the kid to turn himself in for the shooting.
