Y’all are spoiling us now! Thank you

Kimberly Tyda

That wasn't Herc that drove by. He did ignore the call though, which was why he brought Bubbles the food as an apology.

Naijeru

Lester and the Bunk showing us how good cop/bad cop is supposed to be done with Herc and Prezbo.

Vigorous Strongs

ASIA and BJ, I just wanted to say that this series is good and you're making me happy 😁

Jesse McAdams

Little Kevin put the pieces together that it was Randy who snitched on him when he was being questioned by Herc.

Chris Costelloe

Yeah, some of us have seen this show multiple times, so you should get some slack when you don’t pick up on some things the first time around.

Sapporo Dragon

Slow down, I need to catch up! 😩 I didn’t get any notifications from Patreon until after I open the app. And then they all came flooding through.🤦🏻‍♂️

Michaels darker turn happens after he got rid of his stepfather. It’s like the tipping point for him and he goes full forward when he beats Kennard down. He won’t ever get a normal childhood and his only concern is taking care of the ones he loves like his brother and Dooky. He tried to help Namond but Namond isn’t built for that life and got scared and Namomd comes to terms with that after he gets whooped on by Michael. Namomd was trying to do his tough guy act to maintain a fake persona by picking on Dooky but Michael wasn’t having it anymore.

Dion Fitzgerald

Herc sold out Randy when he was questioning Little Kevin. Little Kevin knew Randy was the only other person who knew so he told Marlo and the hood to try to save himself. Herc is one of the most crooked characters in the show. His irresponsibility in the questioning and neglect caused all of Randy's issues and reverberated into the streets.

💕💕

This ending with Carver and Randy gets me so much because he knows he hasn't been able to protect this child so far.

Dion Fitzgerald

Michael was trying to ignore Naymond because after he didn't get his pack back from the kid he knew Naymond wasn't built for the life he was portraying, meanwhile Michael has to, he doesn't have a choice at this point because he already sold his soul to Marlo and Chris (so to speak). When he saw Raymond talking tough to Duquan, and bullying him, Michael had to check him. I agree with BJ, it was worse because he slapped him to really take his respect. Michael grew sick of Naymond's fronting after seeing that he was really all talk. Naymond was forced into the life because of the parents he had and it took getting slapped for him to break which brought him to tears and is probably the most real moment that we saw of him all season. Reverting to his actual feelings as a boy.

Regarding the theme song by the group "DoMaJe": The S4 version performed by Baltimore teenagers Ivan Ashford, Markel Steele, Cameron Brown, Tariq Al-Sabir and Avery Bargasse, was arranged and recorded specifically for the show. So, while it may sound like a female singer or few, this season's version of the theme song was actually performed by a handful of young teenage boys from B'more called "DoMaJe". This choice was quite an appropriate & aptly fitting decision, especially considering that one of the prominent topics covered this season is that of the school system & its effects on teenage students attending middle school. One more note: Next season, the theme is another cover version, done by country/rock/folk singer-songwriter Steve Earle, who plays Walon in the show. We have not seen Walon for a while (we will again soon), but if y'all recall, he is the scruffy-bearded former addict & drug rehabilitation counselor who is also Bubbles' Narcotics Anonymous sponsor.

Poor Bubbles :/ 17:30 Btw, Asia is right, Bubbles thought Herc drove past him, but Herc was still in the office. 2:11:00 He hit Namond for not being real. Namond would pick on Dukie, a dear friend, but not standup for himself. Michael is tired of Namond’s bullshit. But yeah, Michael has grown horns for sure. 2:20:40 Herc burned himself and others. I’m telling you, Herc’s a straight idiot.

M4RRS

OMG, Asia, when you said, "In the car?!!?" LOL! That is such a hysterically hilarious visual! Even just the thought of that . . . yikes! But nah, Omar handed Renaldo a roll of toilet tissue to use in an alley, 'cause like Omar said: "Whether you squattin' in the alley or sittin' on the porcelain throne, don't really change the moment now do it?" Immediately thereafter came another humorous line from the script, although I dunno whether it was purposeful or just an unintended coincidence. Nonetheless, the woman who was attempting to console the grieving student, Albert, told him this: "Doesn't help to hold it in." Clearly, that was about an entirely different and much more serious topic, but if taken completely out of context, one might surmise that perhaps some slick writer meant to slip in a slight bit of comic relief at that specific moment.

M4RRS

That part with Albert crying in pain was heavy. Why in the world would his grandmother think it was a good idea to attend school as if he could just go on like nothing happened? Albert: I went home yesterday, my mom's on the couch. She dead. 'Memaw' said best I come to school, but — 'Bunny' Colvin: Yeah, you wanted to be with your mom. Of course you did.

ALLAN

I love your reactions to Michael vs Chris and snoop 😂😂🤍

M4RRS

No big deal, but Omar said "muy bueno" ("very good"), not "we bueno" ("we good").

ALLAN

Michael, Dennis, Randy, Namond, Sherrod, Bubbles, Dukie… these episodes hurt 💔

M4RRS

The correct expression for Michael's metamorphosis is a 180° turnaround (facing toward a totally different direction). If one were to do a 360° spin, then that would put a person right back at the same point in which he/she had started in the first place (still facing the same way).

M4RRS

In the burn unit there was a whiteboard which told the story: "Jeffreys, Anna | Critical/Stable | 2nd/3rd degree" So, Randy's foster mother, "Miss Anna", is listed in critical condition, but she is at least alive and stable, despite having both 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Obviously, as well as unfortunately, this still means that Randy now has nobody to care for him. After all, ya gotta figure such an awful event would lead to a lengthy, difficult and painstaking recovery process. Plus, their home has been damaged, possibly even completely destroyed by the fire from the arsonists. The situation is just terrible all around!

M4RRS

Wow, I definitely genuinely & wholeheartedly appreciate the shout-out greatly with an attitude of utmost gracious gratitude! And yes, Asia, you are correct on the proper pronunciation of my moniker/handle!

Daniel Mahowald

The show never says outright, but Cheese (Method Man) is Randy’s, biological father.

KOTARO

Chris is a psychopath

FLORIDABOYYY

kids know he snitched because marlo told chris to put the word out and not kill him. it was at the scene when they threw the big big in back of the suv

asiaandbj

Yessss!! lol! I said it right!! 👏🏾👏🏾

vceisdead

Honestly, Namond deserved that. I felt bad for the kid but that shit with picking on Dooky needed to stop. Mike standing up for the kids who couldnt stand up for themselves definitely makes him my favorite of the bunch.

Sapporo Dragon

OK, I finally got caught up today. I just wanted to say, I like the discussion and reading some of the comments in the beginning. I think it’s nice to hear exactly what you all are thinking. This is hands-down one of the best cop dramas ever. I’m surprised more people aren’t watching. You should do that more often. People can always fast-forward if they don’t want to watch that part.😁👍🏻

mrcinsc

100% agree with you.

KOTARO

Murphy ?

asiaandbj

Thank you so much Valentina! We’re are so happy to have you here and are glad you are enjoying the series with us! ☺️

asiaandbj

Ohhh wow!! They’re a group?!?! 😲 wow! Now that really does surprise me! I literally just went to look them up!! I don’t think I’ve ever heard of them until now but regardless they are super talented!! Very interesting comment, M4RRS… thank you for clarifying that!

KOTARO

I'd Buy That For a Dollar

M4RRS

You got it too, as that is indeed the (at least intended) proper pronunciation of my moniker/handle!

I Wholeheartedly Disagree With The Fan Theory That Chris is The 1 Who Experienced Being Assaulted in The Past Which Led To The Emotion Behind The Brutal Beatdown of Buggs's Daddy I Always Have To Wait Until After Season 5 Has Been Reacted To in Order To Share My Opinion On Why Chris Took That So Personal Because I Don't Ever Talk SPOILER Talk in my Comments on Reaction Channels. #TellemTANKseddit #TANKTheTVandMovieMaven

In an interview with David Simon for the book “All the pieces matter” he confirms it’s not just a theory but also the intended conclusion. Chris was abused.

This is my favorite show of all time, I am so glad to see you enjoy it. I always find it interesting to know the buying power of money in shows from years ago. $2,521.53 in 2006 has the same buying power as $4,079.14 in April 2025 (from Bureau of Labor Statistics calculator)

Matt

Mike already had sized Namond early in the season, Namond was boasting about something and then said "you know I'm just saying" and Mike responded immediately "that's all you do, "just say""
