Nicole Sherlock

Yes!!!! 🙌 thank you!! 😊 always excited for more Tolkien!

Ren

🔥🔥🔥 drop. Also, Evangeline Lily as an elf 😍😍

Kyndu

WoW!!!

Vigorous Strongs

ASIA and BJ, you are missing out on the juice in the extended edition. WHY DIDN'T WATCH IT? So, in THE HOBBIT and THE LORD OF THE RINGS, you somewhat watched it. It's very sad you haven't started with the extended edition in the first installment.

Katie Davis

Hard thing to pick up the first time you watch: When the dwarf with red hair (Glóin), says "that's my wee lad, Gimli" to Legolas, he's referring to his son. That son is the red-haired dwarf who becomes great friends and rivals with Legolas in The Lord of the Rings

Heather C.

Not me screaming and running through the house scaring my hubby and son because I'm so here for this!!! Yyyyaaasss. Made my day. Had to pull up Asia and BJ style with some snacks and tell everyone to sit down and shut up because me and yall gots a movie to watch. Love this trilogy. And no we will NOT object to yall watching the last one next week. Hehe. Hint hint * 😉 😉 And not BJ saying...He locked up....they won't let him out!!! Yall so silly and im here for it. And no spoilers. Can't wait for more.

Karl Kraus

Can you please finish up pirates of the caribbean with at world's end? Did you not like the second one? I've been waiting on the third one for a long time And are you seeing star wars episode 7 anytime soon too? 🙏🙏🙏

Rainz

When you watch the last Hobbit movie Battle of the Five Armies please make sure to watch the extended edition.

Karl Kraus

Can you please react to king kong (2005)? It's by the same director as these movies, Peter Jackson

Karl Kraus

By the way, don't worry about watching the extended editions of these movies Watch the theatricals first then go back and do the extendeds on your own time (or maybe on here again) That's what the theatricals are there for What use is the originals of the middle earth movies if no one watches them anymore?

Vigorous Strongs

ASIA and BJ, why don't you just continue and watch The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014) immediately and finish it once and for all.

Karim

Wow what a cliffhanger!

Karl Kraus

Not complaining asia but... why are you reading the subtitles aloud?

aWkie

But the extended version of the hobbit movies is so much better.

Karl Kraus

Not the point Better or not, the originals are wasting away If the EE are better, the editor might as well have kept the footage intact for the theater, that way everyone would be happy But... it wasn't kept intact 🤷‍♂️ Ignoring the originals undermines all of the hard work How a 200 page children's book was stretched out to fill a three movie trilogy Once you see that and judge it, THEN you can see the goodies in the EE It's a process Every new reactor out there is doing it wrong

Karl Kraus

They already watched the EE of LOTR, back in 2023 Check those out if you want to see them react

Zedarion

was the game "golden Axe"?

Vigorous Strongs

I know. I was just saying with The Hobbit trilogy. HBOMax has the extended editions with the subscription.

O-Danny-Boy

I remember seeing this midnight showing but dosing off during the battle against Smaug. A few days later I went to see it again with my gf during the afternoon. l dozed off during the exact same time!

aWkie

The cinema ones are cut down because of watch time. Doesnt have anything with being the "best". If you have an extended and a theatrical version the one with the most scenes and best scenes are gonna be the extended. Reactors are doing it right.

Karl Kraus

Just as well Theatrical editions need to be seen first anyway And if they love middle earth so much, they need to watch LOTR theatricals It's only fair and proper

David Croft-Ogawa

Great reactions! Please keep going on to the last film!

Karl Kraus

Once you see the mandalorian (I HOPE!!!), the fight scenes from that and the related shows blow these from here out of the water

Nicole Sherlock

I forgot how good this movie was!! Can't wait to see your reaction to the final movie!! 😁

Karl Kraus

There have been movies with dense runtime before Like gone with the wind and Godfather ll These were trimmed due to too many scenes bogging the story's momentum down Things added back in aren't necessarily the best scenes I've seen the hobbit and LOTR EE several times and a bunch of the extras don't add value to what was already there to begin with Reactors being introduced to the story need to watch the originals Period. They can judge what's better by watching the EE afterwards if they love middle earth so much Everything about this is backwards

RollingAcres47

Smaug is my favorite character in this trilogy. That voice is so cool. When he says "step into the light," gives me goosebumps.

Kain D. Zero

It feels hopeless but I still hope I could see Melkor in a Lord of the Rings movie one day. There is so much in the book "The Silmarillion" that I'd love to see. Melkor was the greatest evil before Sauron and far worse.

Kain D. Zero

I am freaked out by spiders so the Shelob scenes are creepiest to me.

Davey11

Awesome!! Thanks Asia and BJ for continuing this trilogy 💚

Kain D. Zero

"Our true enemy is yet to reveal himself"

Tony Uthe

Just FYI , in case some didn't know, Benedict Comberbach ( hope i spelled that right) Is the voice of Smaug

Envision

Bilbo is the Jim character in the British version of The Office.

Envision

1:16:50 - Stephen Colbert - He has an eye patch

Envision

4:15 - Peter Jackson the Director - He's eating a carrot

Violet

Now y'all gotta hurry up and watch the last one!!

Deep Dives

Battle of the 5 Armies was a rushed production. Jackson said it himself and when you watch the theatrical, it has obvious continuity issues and unfinished SE's. ( Not mentioning The Hobbit being turned into a trilogy when it's one book ) DC's and EE's mostly convey the artist's vision and not the corporate suits that just wants shorter runtime so the can get more butts in the seats.

Saints_Madness

Bj the game your referring to is called the lost Vikings on SNES. Yea I never beat that game back in the day. The Puzzles got a little to complicated for me at that age. I beat the Lion King after renting it alot Blockbuster but never The Lost Vikings. All that Gold reminds me of Ducktales. I knew you 2 would dig this one. Their good indeed. I was one that has been waiting for awhile for you to upload this one. The last one is good to. Peter Jackson knows how to bring a story to life.

iShihTzuNot

lol BJs posture got so perfect at the end when he realized it was indeed THE END.

SixEight Guy

BJ, was it an arcade game? There's an old one from back in the day called Gauntlet. You could be a wizard, elf, warrior, or valkyrie. Just a thought. As for Thorin being sick or "off", they mentioned at the very beginning of the trilogy and a couple times since, that his Grandfather had dragon sickness. Which is a greed for gold and treasure that makes you want to hoard it, and you care about it more than anything else. It drove his Grandfather crazy and it led to his death.

Matthew B

Will you two be watching the third one???
