Eric

Thank you thank you! Double upload goodness today!

Rebecca Karsner

Was excited this won!! Yes!! Jordan Peele's movies have all been solid! Excited for more of his work in the future!!!! His other films are Us and Nope! Definitely worth checking out as well!!! 😄🙌

Kangdarius

I refuse to believe they’ve nvr seen this

I'm just Joe King

Why I have friends who never have. I saw it in theaters. ONCE

Mikey

this movie truly is chef's kiss! was so happy it won the poll

Craig Anderson

If you guys re-watch this you'll pick up on some things you missed the first time and I love movies like that. For example, Rose and Chris are both wearing red/blue to signify the democratic/republican party. Also, Chris reaction to the deer was also his reaction to his mom's hit and run. The deer was giving him bad memories of his mom so he became a, "deer in the headlights".

FLORIDABOYYY

i clicked this so fastttt 😆 i been watching yall horror videos today

FLORIDABOYYY

asia really dont watch horror movies unless its for patreon lol she too scary

Minister D

Good choice 👌🏾

Soph

Please do TALK TO ME and SPLIT!!! Absolutely incredible incredible films for October !!

Darth Brooks

The Office and a movie tonight? Well I don't mind if I do. I'll hop right into it when I get home tonight. Until then have a great evening everyone and enjoy the show!

Eamonn Locke

Two great picks! Talk to Me was such an unexpected surprise. Split is an awesome movie. It's been a while since their Unbreakable reaction.

Soph

James McAvoy is amazing! Speak no evil is also incredible! Apparently a sequel to talk to me is out soon!

M4RRS

"I Got 5 On It"

Eamonn Locke

Yeah, he really is! Loved Speak No Evil. I love the original as well. I've heard about the Talk to Me sequel and I can't wait!

Darth Brooks

I would definitely have to agree that Asia handled Terrifier better than I expected. I still think the reaction to Hereditary is the most mentally exhausted I've seen y'all after a scary movie lol.

Abby

Ya’ll still want to visit a family home like that? 🤣

Dan Gershgol

First time seeing this. Glad I did.

Deep Dives

Sex Slave! Oh shit, you in a " Eyes Wide Shut " situation, Leave MF. Please react to Eyes Wide Shut. Some other good ones , Smile 1 & 2 , Talk to Me, Weapons.

Russ D

The grandpa who was the groundskeeper was the guy in the picture who lost to Jesse Owens. Also Rose eating dry fruit loops and drinking the milk separately is the creepiest thing in this movie

asiaandbj

1000% facts!!!! 100 ACCURATE!!!

M4RRS

Daniel Kaluuya is the actor who played Chris. Lakeith Stanfield portrayed Andre Hayworth aka Logan King. Lil Rel Howery was Chris' friend Rod. Jim Hudson, the blind art dealer, was portrayed by Stephen Root, who y'all saw in 'Office Space', as he played the memorable character named Milton. Catherine Keener portrayed the wife/mother Missy Armitage. Y'all also saw her as Trish in 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin'. In that one, she was the love interest and eventual wife of Andy, who was of course played by Steve Carell.

M4RRS

Rose doesn't just date / "recruit" black men like Chris and groundskeeper Walter aka "Grandpa". Evidently, she has dated / "recruited" at least one black woman before. This was confirmed when Chris was rummaging through the pictures. The last one depicted Rose and Georgina aka "Grandma" snuggling all over each other like a couple, or at least in a way which appeared to be much more than just two close female friends. As for Andre aka Logan, he was kidnapped by Jeremy during the opening scene.

Kangdarius

U kinda misread Russ lol

sb

That was the groundskeeper in the picture with her.

Butter Bumps

It's not that Rose was interested in black guys, it's safe to say she's looking for certain attributes given to her from the "buyers." Sort of like looking for a house or a car 'what specs are you looking for?' Black happened to be one attribute (obviously some ladies were interested) and photography was another... which had received the largest bid.

Nicole

I was scared to watch cue of how confused yall were on Black Phone lol (hope yall understand it now after the comments) but loved yalls reaction

Renee S

Finally a reaction to this one :)

KimM

One word answer to your question, which also stars actor Daniel Kaluuya ...."Nope"

Abby

Brilliant!

Leslie Engel

Love your reaction and outro conversation. Thank you. Direction and writing are genius; I agree. Jordan Peele is the genius who wrote, directed, and co-produced this film. What a debut effort! Acting is great too. BJ - excellent call on cultural appropriation. So many ways it happens, from subtle to surgical (intended). Racism with its gaslighting, exploitation, and dehumanization is central to what's explored here. The horror genre seems perfect for mirroring that horror.

Ramona Runge

what flannel shirt should i wear today...hmmm... i just ask Asia et voila the perfect solution :-D love y'all

M4RRS

https://youtu.be/hBvcngHRTFg Linked above is a very interesting video titled "Jordan Peele Breaks Down 'Get Out' Fan Theories | Vanity Fair", featuring brilliant 'Get Out' writer/director/co-producer Jordan Peele. It is just under 10 minutes long and definitely worth checking out to hear explanations about the film from the horse's mouth so to speak. Jordan Peel is of course most known, renowned and critically acclaimed as one-half of the comedy duo "Key & Peele" along with equally comical and creative partner Keegan-Michael Key. Both were also "Mad TV" cast members at the same time, plus they even made a famous cameo appearance together in "Weird" Al Yankovic's official music video for "White & Nerdy", a popular parody of "Ridin' (Dirty)" by Chamillionaire.

Samira Abdulmalik

It's so funny that BJ said that black men aren't going to want to date a white women after this movie and the writer and director of this movie is Jordan Peele who is a black man that is married to a white woman

Cherish Johnson

U gotta watch “Us” (2019) next directed by the same director

Angelfish Luva

I love Asia.. " I thought they were playing Bingo" .. LOL!!!

JonB

Watching you guys watch this and figure it out made my whole week! It brought me back to how I felt the first time I saw it. THANK YOU FOR THIS RARE GIFT! much appreciated! IMHO one of the best "horror" movies to come out in the last ten years. So good.

girlygirl9983

BJ asking the real questions "Why he not blinking" 😂& all the smiling haha I remember the gifs/memes created from the groundskeeper running & Georgina saying "No no no no no no no" 💀 Watched this 7 years ago & still got scared

Michele G

🤣🤣🤣 I do love that shirt though! I need one of those

Jay Rivera

Beautiful theatrical experience ❤️

Karim

The metaphors is this movie are countless.

Ramona Runge

absolutely!!! 😊❤️genius

Velvet Joy Vanderslice

It is so awesome that you guys reacted to this 🥰 I’ve seen it probably 20 times. At 49:07 that dude said black is back in fashion?!? Forgive me, but you two looked at each other like you didn’t get the memo 🤣🤣. None of us did 😆

Saraka Smith

Ironically, Peele is bi racial. His mom is white

Kangdarius

This was a cultural phenomenon though. It created slang terms. Plus it’s more thriller than horror.

M4RRS

The spherical-shaped object which Chris hit Jeremy in his head with was a bocce ball. While I am not sure whether this requires further clarification or not, I will still add that the term bocce is pronounced like "Botch-E". If need be, then feel free to do research at your own leisure and accord in order to learn more about the sport.

Trish Belshe

Asia, you’re so damn funny. Thank you for the intro, I know how you feel bc I KNOW ! And BJ stop giving the lovely Asia the side eye ! The movie’s starting now, later…

M4RRS

The first text from Rod to Chris contained a pic of Chris' dog Sid just lying on the floor chillin', along with a green beer bottle resting on top of his right paw. The message also included some accompanying words written (essentially actin' as a caption for the photo), which read "SID GOT DRUNK", followed by three exclamation points plus a few emojis.

Leslie

"A lil vanilla lil chocolate" -BJ

John Orloff

Jordon Peele is awesome. I also really liked Us and Nope.

Dylanja

Peele is a fantastic director. The main actor is Daniel Kaluuya, he also played the girl's partner in Sicario.

MacGuffinStuff

This is a masterpiece, it's one of those movies you're gonna have to watch at least twice to really appreciate it, the writing especially. First watch is just a spectacle, what is happening here? It's crazy, and funny, witty, jokes are not just funny they're smart, Jordan Peele. But second watch, 3rd+, it's GENIUS, definitely deserved an Oscar for Screenplay. It gets better every time I watch it. Haven't seen "US", you watch it I will, but I have seen "NOPE" and I thought it was awesome, Jordan Peele is a big Twilight Zone fan like me, he said so and he was a producer on the reboot show, and Nope has the feel of a Twilight Zone episode, crazy, creepy, clever, weird, I recommend it.

LINUS

when you guys pick a movie/winner etc, like Get out for example - you should then do others in the franchise or by same creator (like in a few weeks do 'Us' then 'NOPE' both by jordan peele just like Get Out etc, theres a ton of movies youve started that were desparately waiting on the sequels for like SCREAMMMMM and NEXT FRIDAY/FRI AFTER NEXT etc :) we just wanna get all of the asia and bj that we can get! hahaha

LINUS

NOPE is divisive but i think next to Get Out its one of his most creative films yet. (you should def do jordan peele's TWILIGHT ZONE series (only like 2 seasons)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LINUS

so in case you didnt catch it: - Rose and her family have been tricking black males into the family for YEARS. - 2 of them were 'body/hosts' for their dying Grandma and Grandpa (housekeeper & groundskeeper) - the body of teh groundskeeper - once he was 'woke' from the camera flash at the end (basically switching places with the grandpa in the sunken place) shot himself becuase he couldnt go back to the sunken place - god knows how long hes been in there as the grandpa lived in his body as the groundskeeper etc... - Rose while eating cereal at the end - EVEN THEN she couldnt mix white and color... (racism) by separating her cereal and milk. - in the beginning, rose gave the cop shit for asking for his ID because she didnt want anyone to know where he was (becuase what they were going to do, leaving no trace) - the more you watch this movie, the more you will catch - jordan peele did a good job of sprinkling in hints from beginning to end (from music lyrics-to-secondary meanings to things said, like roses dad saying about his parents 'i kept housekeeper+groundskeeper after my parents got sick... I JUST COULDNT LET THEM GO (meaning his parents, actually)

Jacqueline Young

You should watch Antebellum, speaking of scary movies for us.

Ry Cannon

The picking cotton out the chair scene was significant too he literally use the cotton to save his life
