Why are tv weddings always the greatest episodes to watch

Chan

Yayyyyy!!!

Kristy Kelley

I cried the first time I watched this too, it just hits you in the feels. 🩷

Sean G

If you didn't feel something while watching the wedding, I don't about you lol. I get emotional every time and I've seen that wedding 10-15 times. 😀

MacGuffinStuff

Yeah it's the wedding episode for me. In a way it's the peak of the show I think. But there is still a lot to resolve and there are some great characters yet to meet. I'm already laughing thinking about them no spoilers 🤣

Matt F

Y'all living the high life eating your crab legs 😂

RudeArcher

Kudos to Asia for recognizing the insurance agent from Dumb and Dumber!

Neal Moody

Yes, he was in Dumb and Dumber

Plus, coincidentally enough, BJ mentioned "Dumb & Dumber" in reference to Dwight and Michael merely one episode earlier ("Niagara – Part 2") during the scene in which Dwight pulled Michael away from a conversation with an attractive woman to show him a set of twins, who of course turned out to be men.

Duck

BJ you crack me up with those intros

Bill B.

Asia I feel the exact same way at that part of the wedding episode! 👍👍👍

Darth Brooks

Asia came a long way from that boil bag BJ had her eat years ago. Wonder if she ever actually come around to liking the mud bugs yet lol.

Syl

https://youtu.be/4-94JhLEiN0?t=24 Above is a timestamped link (set at the part when the fun starts) to the viral video of a real life wedding which inspired the wedding dance scene in "Niagara" aka the wedding episode. Said wedding video, which is titled "JK Wedding Entrance Dance", was posted over 16 years ago on July 19th, 2009. It is currently approaching 107 million views on YouTube! Below are some select comments (sorted by "Top", not "Newest") from among 95,000+ of them that have been posted thus far: • I was waiting for someone to kick a girl in the face • Where's the bit where Dwight kicks the bridesmaid? • POV: you just watched the Jim and Pam wedding episode and now you’re here. • Imagine your wedding being in one of the top ten sitcoms ever made. • Imagine how they feel knowing The Office recreated this for the biggest wedding in the show • Imagine, one of these viewers among 100M is Michael Scott • "Did you see this? It was on YouTube.” - Michael Scott • "I bought those boat tickets the day I saw that YouTube video." - Jim Halpert • The boat was actually Plan C. The church was Plan B and Plan A was marrying her a long, long time ago. Pretty much the day I met her.

So, did y'all recognize that Pam's mother, Helene Beesly, was recast? When we first saw Pam's mom come visit Pam at the office in S2 E2 ("Sexual Harassment") — during which y'all may recall seeing Jim smile after he overheard her try to quietly ask Pam, "So, which one is Jim?" — she was played by Shannon Cochran. However, from this point forward ("Niagara" and any appearances in episodes thereafter), said character was portrayed by Linda Purl.

At last, I am glad that you two have finally observed when one of those shortened title sequences occurred (during S6 E6 "Mafia" after the cold open). This has actually happened before, but somehow you both had not noticed up until now. For future reference, random episodes here and there are sometimes preceded by shorter versions of the theme song plus intro. In fact, there are a bunch of episodes like that, especially sprinkled throughout these latter seasons, just so you know. Thus, y'all may want to get your popcorn, candy and such ready in advance, rather than throwing off the headphones to go retrieve snacks during the show intro. Otherwise, something important might be missed right outta the gate, ya know?

M4RRS

In "Mafia" (S6 E6), nothing came up about Michael and Pam's mom dating due to the fact that newlyweds Jim and Pam were not physically present during said episode, as they were away on their honeymoon trip in Puerto Rico.

The "Frank and Beans" line stemmed from the 1998 comedy movie 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘺, which y'all saw and reacted to last year (Patreon post date shows March 27th, 2024). When Ted (Ben Stiller) came to pick up Mary (Cameron Diaz) for the prom, he had to use the bathroom, and ended up getting his genitals caught in his pants zipper. Mary's black stepdad came in to examine (followed by Mary's white biological mother, plus a cop and a fireman LOL). At one point, the stepdad asked Ted, "Is it the frank or the beans?" In other words, he wanted to know whether Ted got his hot dog (penis) or his beans (testicles) stuck in his zipper. It turned out to be a bit of both LOL! Meanwhile, Mary's mentally challenged brother Warren overheard said conversation through the door and began excitedly exclaiming "FRANKS AND BEANS!" The reason Jim and Pam kept using funny voices while reciting the quote was to mimic the way Warren sounded when he loudly repeated the phrase during said film scene.

Blessed with a 4 episode reaction on a Sunday morning? This is church ya'll.

Abel Salas Jr

Love getting bonus episodes. You guys are awesome.

Amy Spears

Don't worry Asia, I teard up too.

Mami's Gatos

Haven't had cRab in years!! I used to tear my hands up on those king 🦀 legs. Theyre so violent to eat. And then the salt water would get in my cuts and make my hands burn... totally worth it. Zero regrets. I'm getting some crab tonight.

Only Pam Beesly would have to deal with Andy's torn scrotum on the eve of her wedding. That is peak Dunder Mifflin chaos and exactly why we love that show 🤣. On a completely separate, but equally important note: Crab legs are AMAZING. We have a place called Voodoo Crab that does those delicious boils with their special sauce, and they are *to die for*. Now I'm craving crablegs!

Godwolf

is so funny, but i genuinely prefer fake crab

Pam is so annoying in the last episode for freaking out over her mom dating Michael. Michael hired her at Dunder Mifflin, then hired her again at the Michael Scott Paper Company, then got her her job back AND got her promoted to a sales position and drove out to Niagara Falls to be part of their wedding.... her entire life literally wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for Michael and she's flipping out about her mom dating him? Her mom clearly likes him. She needs to chill.

Patman

Wow, Welcome Back Kotter reference, bravo Asia and BJ, bravo. Not only do I get that reference, I watched that reference.

Jon Green

Per Google: “John Gotti was an American mobster who became the boss of the Gambino crime family after orchestrating the 1985 murder of his predecessor, Paul Castellano. Nicknamed "The Dapper Don" and "The Teflon Don," Gotti was known for his flamboyant public persona and violent methods, leading a powerful crime syndicate before being convicted in 1992. He was sentenced to life in prison and died in 2002.”
