Random, but the version of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” in this movie is IMO, the most beautiful rendition he ever recorded. I LOVE this movie, Viola Davis is phenomenal the entire way through, and that final scene is absolutely gut wrenching. The whole cast is stellar.

Was a privilege to watch this with you both ❤️ My only complaint - in the story and the actual author of the book... a white woman gets credit for stories that aren't hers. Skeeter gets a job, Aibileen gets fired. Kathryn Stockett, the author, is a white women who is celebrated for telling stories of black women's lives... It's well intended, but I can't help but feel like it perpetuates a "white savior" complex.

Thank you so much for watching this film. It reminded me of the farming community in Florida where I grew up where everything was completely segregated for a long time, even unofficially. Watching this was heart wrenching, and you guys had great reactions and discussion as always.
