When Hulu initially released this I was excited watching it because of all the sequels I enjoyed this the most. At the same time I scratching my head and wondering why it wasn't released in theaters.

Aw man I love this movie, it's my second fave of the whole franchise but in some ways it's even better than the first Predator, which I give the OG status. Yeah you probably should've watched Predator 2 before this one, it explains more of the Yautja (that's their species) and there are a lot of Easter eggs in this, not gonna spoil them but yeah, watch Predator 2, and keep your eyes open, lots of Easter eggs, ok I better stop because I don't wanna spoil anything. But I loved the characters, especially Naru, legit badass, Comanche, cousins of the Mexica/Aztecs haha, the Comanche are infamously fierce warriors. To hunt something hunting you, that's kind of the Yautja way, they're basically big game hunters, but specifically they want to hunt the hunter, I used to own the original Aliens Vs Predator comic books from Dark Horse Comics, great series, and it showed how the Yautja would fight among each other for the right to go on these hunts. The LORE is awesome actually. But that's another story. But one Easter egg was when the French trappers cut her brother diagonal across his chest, that's a reference to Billy in the first movie. A lot of people don't catch that Billy is Native American, but he has a medicine bag around his neck with his dog tags, plus the long hair and the headband, and the actor, Sonny Landham, was I think Cherokee in real life, that's why he's the tracker in the team. But he turns around on that log bridge and cuts himself the same way, like a warrior just saying, I'm done running away, it's a fight, this is as far as one of us goes.

-they definitely had guns way earlier than 1700s maybe not advanced or mass produced but they had them - Asia right the yellow herb that man with one leg ingested, he said he was "cold" his body temperature turned blue, the "predator" can detect warm blooded creatures. She ate the same yellow flower, it might have looked white since it was night time when she took it and daytime when the guy took it.

She had some cool war paint but her brother had a dope design. And he has unique facial features that complements his war paint. Not everyone can pull that look off. And when he was besting Predator in the fight and suddenly he goes invisible, he yells something in Camanche, he yells "Cheater!" 😆 awesome movie i love it

A bit woke and unrealistic with a little girl going toe to toe with a predator but still a good movie. This Feral predator was not one of the most dangerous elite predators.

I mean her brother weakened it greatly, it’s not like she did it all on her own. But yea, Feral predator wanted to get his hands dirty. Most would just sit up in a tree and pick you off one by one or use plasma cannon.

I mean a little girl physically beating those French men in combat like some sort of ninja was pretty unrealistic for a start. The predator was not incapacitated by the injuries her brother dealt, he would still kill her quickly in a fight, not lose an arm/hand. But, it is Hollywood after all, and it's just a movie.

From what I understand, 20th Century Fox had an agreement with Netflix to stream movies that were first released to theaters. However, when Disney bought Fox, they wanted their movies going forward to be on their streaming services and they wouldn’t have been able to do that if they released it to theaters because of that pre-existing agreement. I don’t know how long that lasts, so maybe they can release it to theaters at a later date so we can enjoy it on the big screen.

In one of the predator movies … 2 or maybe Alien Vs Predator … which is Great. They had a gun like the one the Frenchman gave her, that she later gives to her Father, hanging on the wall on the inside of a Predator ship — to show how long the Predators have been coming. So they used that bit of information at the end of Prey.
