Michele G

y’all look Arrrrrghmazing !!!! Seriously y’all look awesome !! I love the outfits !! Can’t wait for this reaction ❤️❤️ 🏴‍☠️❤️❤️

Karl Kraus

Sweet! You took my suggestion to heart! You'll love this one for sure the next two are good but nowhere near to the original Let's have some fun! This classic came out in 2003, a surprise smash hit of the summer Johnny Depp reached the pinnacle of his career being CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow the sequels tried to replicate the charm but it turned stale by the third movie Jack wasn't cursed until he pulled some pieces of the gold from the chest during his "negotiation" with Barbossa he played this one last trick to buy some insurance to make sure he can fight as long as possible and get Will's medallion along with his own to breake the curse "at the opportune moment" Him saying "that's interesting" was just Jack being coy

Oh yay! Can't wait for this reaction!!! Its freezing here in the UK so, feet up, and blanky out lol

Dan63

The outfits are fabulous. The next 2 movies in the trilogy answer more questions. All 3 are fun to watch. Enjoyed watching you both.

Jeremy Mast

Jack wasn't cursed until he took one of the Aztec coins out of the chest while he was talking to Barbossa.

Carlos

lol I was shocked when you guys popped on the screen.

MikeyB!

OMG y'all look so goooooood! Y'all better! 🥳

Sean G

Loved the first pirates movie! The second one is also good. It looked like Asia took a minute to get into it, but i'm glad she enjoyed it. Great reaction!

dabbingcannasseur

It causes a lot of confusion on peoples first watch, but: Jack became cursed near the end of the movie, when he was telling Barbosa to wait to lift the curse and go attack the soldiers. He stole one of the pieces, you see him flipping it in his fingers after Barbosa stabs him. I love these movies, especially the first 3.

MikeyB!

Also, SO hoping you both finish the series (1-3 that is...). Dead Man's Chest (2006) gets really good & twisty, and At World's End (2007) just completes the story w/ a bow on top. Films 4-5... I mean... Woof. 🥴 (IMO)

Tara

You both look fabulous!! This movie was based on the ride at Disney Land and Disney World and when it became a big summer blockbuster, they incorporated Captain Jack Sparrow and other elements of the movie into the ride. Johnny Depp is such a versatile actor and has said that he loves playing Captain Jack. Keith Richards from The Rolling Stones was part of his inspiration for the character. He loved playing Jack so much that they have made multiple sequels, but the first three movies are the the best. I’m not sure if you’ve seen the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but the actor who played Will Turner is in those movies and I highly recommend them.

Heather

Can anyone tell me why they keep the captions on? All I can focus on is the words and not the movie.

XenoShadowMorph

I had forgotten Zoe Saldana was in this movie as Anamaria, it was before she did Avatar. Love this franchise - my favorites among Johnny Depp movies, can't beat him as Captain Jack Sparrow, yo-ho!! Yeah, Jack was not cursed till he took one of the coins out of the chest - remember it disappeared in his hand and Will noticed it just before he started fighting Barbosa.

Jay Reeves

New member of the family here. I loved your reaction to Dirty Dancing, Dirty Dancing rules. Check out Red Dawn from 1984. It also stars Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey..

Kara Davis

Fun fact, Johnny Depp dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow, went to Disneyland & got onto one of the pirate areas of the ride & everyone thought that he was an added anamatronic to the ride. He also went to some of the children's cancer hospitals across the country to visit the sick kids as Jack Sparrow.

Crispin

your guys costumes are actually so dope

Ohhh!! Ok!! That’s when it happened! I was wondering when or what made that happen. I didn’t understand that. Thanks for explaining that!

asiaandbj
>>100331429

It definitely took a minute but it’s a movie we’ll worth watching. So glad we checked it out!

Jeremy Mast
>>100328796

You're very welcome. I hope y'all watch the other 4. I especially like the last 2.

asiaandbj
>>100344097

It’s because we got a complaint .. from impaired persona through YouTube that we did NOT have them on… so now their on. They want to watch us, but unfortunately it makes it difficult that captions aren’t on for them to watch us. ☺️

I would assume he knew it would happen and it was all a part of his plan... but Jack seems to work on 50% plan 50% winging it haha. He obviously knew of the story, and knew the curse was real, but could he be 100% sure the curse would 'kick in' that quick? Who knows.

Bob The SkuII

ayo look at the fuckin outfits! i love them!

Tanisha Jones

Um I can't speak for the 5th movie because I actively don't like it. But I'm fighting to the death for the 4th movie. I actually REALLY love it. I hope yall go through the whole series.

Tanisha Jones

By the way there is an end credit scene to this movie. I would check it out before you watch the next movie.

Tanisha Jones

There's so much I can say about this movie. By the way Captain Barbossa didn't blow William Turner Sr. Up with a cannon. They strapped the cannon to his bootstraps and threw him overboard in the ocean....kinda like attaching a cinder block to someone's feet for a drowning. They sent him to the depths.

CALIXYUKON

Avast, I finished 'er last night! Yar hardy mates, excellent reaction, in fact the BEST pirates reaction I evar watched! Hope you guys decide to do all the pirates movies in the future, this was a delight! Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life for me!

Karl Kraus
>>100339194

agreed over the years the 4th movie just got recognized as a mistake it has characters that are either forgettable, uninteresting or just got used up too quickly it was made only because johnny depp was in it the 5th was good but shouldn't be watched because it's a retcon of the second and third movies combined Disney just wanted to make another pretty penny watching just the first three will be alright with me

Chris Marrero

First off, LOVE the costumes! To answer Asia's question from earlier, the metal thing they put the hot coals in was known as a bed warmer and was the way that wealthy people would warm their beds at night. I actually had one for a long time but didn't know what it was for the longest time. Really hope you do the next two of these movies!

Henry

New memeber just wanted to say each movie has an after credit scene

Tica

Asia that mic 🎤 situation at beginning (dead) 😂🤣😂☠️ omgawd ♥️ y’all both!

Monica W

Hey Guys! To answer your question, Jack was cursed from the moment he stole a piece of gold out of the chest while making the deal with Captain Barbossa. So when he stepped in the moonlight during the sword fight, that was the first time they saw him as a skeleton.

Richard Zinns

Just wanted to alert you that there is really good post-credits material in all of the Pirates movies - you should check those extra scenes out. Also wanted to note: I can't think of better musical scores anywhere than these movies have. And by the way, anyone who says "Arrr..." as a pirate character is either directly or indirectly imitating Robert Newton as Long John Silver in Disney's Treasure Island (and in a subsequent non-Disney movie called Long John Silver). Thanks as always for the great reaction!

CeeCee

Great reaction as always, guys. Love ya. Keep on keep on keeping on ❤

Kaleipakalani Cruz

Great reaction. You talked a bit about Jack's character. To understand his origins a little bit of history might help. Our culture's fascination with pirates really began when Robert Louis Stevenson's book Treasure Island came out. Interestingly enough, it actually was controversial at the time with many critics slamming it. The first part of the criticism was that there were no real moral values. If you read most of the classics, they tend to center around virtues and vices. Treasure Island was actually written as a bedtime story to Stevenson's adopted son. It's the pinnacle of entertainment for the sake of entertainment. The second criticism which heavily ties into the first was in the character of Long John Silver. Silver was one of a kind in that he was both good and evil depending on which side benefited him most. He's the guy you can throw back a beer with and have a great time but also the guy who might stab you in the back when you weren't looking. He created a stereotype for how we view pirates - charming but dangerous. It was a stereotype that both Johhny Depp and Geoffrey Rush had to emulate and personally I think they both did a phenomenal job.

MichelleMyBell

Johnny Depp made that character his own nobody could ever replace him or come close.

Awilda Luciano

Hope you watch the sequels following. Johnny Depp is the best

Tanisha Jones

I swear if yall dont continue the sequels imma blow ya car up LMFAO! Come on they're so good!

Lex

More POTC please!

Wallu

Are you guys going to watch the sequals to this?

Ryan

I think BJ would really enjoy a show called Into The Badlands.

loekie ouwehand

hank you so much for reacting to the movie. One of my favourites.. I hope you are able to do the other movies as well... As for what side Jack was on... Jack only cared about his ship... he wanted the Black Pearl back. But he is also not going to let someone die needlessly (I mean he saved Elizabeth when she fell off the cliff, knowing that it would probably mean he would be found out. And even then, if Norrington had done as Jack had said and gone back to the Dauntless immediately after Jack went into the cave to talk to Barbossa. There would have been more men at the ship to protect it. Barbossa didn't really help matters either as Jack expected the Barbossa's men to go out of the cave with the rowboats, and that those at the Daunltess would see them and be able to hold them off until he and WIll lifted the curse. Anyway... I'm sorry for my babbling. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie
