Sopranos S1. E3 and E4

First episode- Junior was fed up with what he perceived as disrespect (it was his idea to return the truck Brendan stole, but Tony got the credit and that chaps Junior's ass). He had already spoken with Tony's mother and realized he couldn't kill Chris, so he sent guys Chris had never seen to scare the bejeezus out of him without Chris knowing who'd done it or why (at least not at first). Brendan (?) could be killed, though, so it was OK to send someone Brendan knew as after he was gone it wouldn't matter. Hell, Junior was at that one himself. Tony's already complicated life has just become even messier.

just curious, how come some uploads are in 1080p but some are in 720p?

Uncle Junior is Tony’s father’s brother. Meadow was talking about “Uncle” Jackie not being their real uncle; he’s the one who just died and was the acting boss of the family. Tony took his shrink’s advice about treating older ppl like kids by letting them think they’re in control. He and the other captains agreed to let Junior believe he is now the acting boss, but in reality Tony is going to be calling the shots. He also got Junior to give his crew control of the Pavers Union and Bloomfield Avenue, which is an avenue that runs through Newark and some other towns. Juniors crew controlled them previously. Since Junior wasn’t aware how much money was being kicked up to Jackie, he won’t realize that Tony will be getting all that money now. Running into the kids dad at the nursery was just a coincidence. Tony had no idea about the fight. He was just buying an axe while he was there.

I think A.J. (Tony's son) was contemplating his Dad's illegal activities for sure but, more importantly, he was going through what many kids go through the day they realize there's a lot more to their parent(s) than they were led to believe. It feels like a strange mix of realization, confusion, and deception.

Silvio Manfred Dante is played by Steven Van Zandt and he is in Bruce Springsteen’s E Street band. He plays guitar, mandolin and sings backup. Just a music connection.

Junior soprano(tonys uncle) was mad at christopher and brandon for jacking his trucks, so Tonys mother said dont kill christopher but give him a scare and kill the other one in so many words when junior asked tonys mom what he should do about them pissing on him.

Maybe every once in awhile you should show the intro of Tony driving around because it’s kind of iconic and the tune is catchy! You notice the Twin Towers in the background because 9/11 hadn’t happened yet. Also, thank you Asia for giving me a shout out the other night. I wasn’t having the best day, and you truly made me smile. 😊

Gary Morse

if any of tonys coharts in the mob find out he is talking to a therapist, they might think he will also talk to the feds and would wack (kill) him.

Deborah Lewis

Just remember old saying..." keep your enemies closer"😉🤣🤣

This is awesome. Watching you guys watch my favorite show of all time. Is like watching it all over again for the first time.

Crispin

cant wait for the "The Good Fellas" reaction :)

Morgan Nicolas

I always get a kick out of watching the first season, it's the worst of the series even though it's still good. It only gets better from here.

Pink Martini AZ

Tony took the Dr’s advice by giving his Uncle Jr the illusion that he’s in charge. He got some business out of it and all his captains are still going to listen to Tony. Heh heh

If I don't comment now I'll probably forget lol; if you want to kind of keep it on a bit of a mafia vibe, but want to see something other than Italians, theres an AMAZING Johnny Depp movie about Whitey Bulger and the Irish Mafia in Boston called 'Black Mass'. Arguably one of Depp's best performances. I feel like a lot of people here would be first time watchers, but I swear it wouldn't disappoint haha.

ViVaLaRan .

One does not simply skip the legendary sopranos intro :)

Mirko Ferreira

For real. Watch The Godfather. They referenced it and openly talked about it in these episodes. You will not regret it.

Darth Brooks

Great movie, I would also recommend. Another great mob related movie based on real events is The Iceman. It follows the story of Richard Kuklinski aka the icepick killer.

Loving your reactions to Sopranos so far! It just gets better! Btw its awesome how much stuff you have on here to watch :)

Rockstar

The only people i feel bad for is the kids in this show. Then again, that's where they all started. Truly a sad show. Fantastic though.

For a good movie suggestion, you guys have to do Jurassic Park (1993) I see your poster in the back and wonder when you guys would do it, and it wouldn't have to be in a poll people will watch it regardless lol 🔥

FuzzyDunlop

If you haven't seen The Wire, it's a natural next step after Sopranos.

Rio Mendoza

The sopranos is my favorite show of all time. I'm so excited for you guys to see the evolution of the characters. And just know how much you're going to fall in love with so many of them.

Anna Thorp

The longer you watch Sopranos it just gets better and better ...I got more addicted over time as I learned the storyline and the family dynamics

Uncle Junior talked to Tony's mother about Christopher and Brendon causing him trouble with the truck thefts. She said scare Christopher. Christopher didn't understand why as he begged for his life.. He thought it was Tony punishing him with Meadow getting drugs from him. Tony's mom said, The other one? (Brendon) meh. She didn't care if they killed Brendon

Liz McCarthy-Edwards

The reason Charmaine told Carmela she'd slept with Tony years ago (before those two were married, they had a row and split up) was the way Carmela gestured to her at the party like she was a lowly servant. Carmela used the same hand gesture previously to her house cleaner about stains on the glass cabinet when Charmaine was present. When Charmaine said to Carmela, "It wasn't for me ("It" meaning being in a relationship with Tony) and "We both made our choices, I'm fine with mine.", she was essentially saying to Carmela: "I could have been where you're standing right now, married to Tony, living your life with a big house with lots of money - but I didn't want to. And I'm happy with that."

Fred bates

Uncle junior Is just the puppet boss the real boss is Tony. They made him the boss so the feds We'll focus on him he will be the lightning rod as they Said But Tony is making all the real decisions and is the real don of New Jersey.

The opening music to The Sopranos puts you in the right mood and frame of mind... this should not be skipped! :)

Matthew Kaufman

I wonder if BJ thinks Rosalie is Leah Remini

Michelle C

Yessss thank you for saying that it's what gets you hyped up for the show

Dan Sopranos

Medows friend ... is actually the creator of the shows (David Chase) daughter

Terry Davis

the scared Chris on the doc, and killed brendon because they stole the truck and killed the driver, that trucking company was paying money to Jr for protection, so they killed brendon and scared Christopher because of that.

MrColiseum

Jr. also didnt kill Chris because Livia told Jr. that she liked Christopher
