Great movie! Will watch after work

Jesse

Great movie yo. I was just thinking yesterday that you two should do a reaction video to this. Chazz Palminteri played the role of Sonny. It was his 1989 play of the same name that was adapted for the screen in this 1993 film. His play was a one man show and Robert De Niro saw it and met Chazz backstage and told him. "This is one of the greatest one-man shows I've ever seen, if not the greatest ... This is a movie, this is an incredible movie." So he worked with Chazz on the screenplay and helped him in getting the film released. Great story and brilliant acting. De Niro was the director.👍⬆️☮️💙

Jordan Jackson

Never seen this one, but I am going to watch it! Thanks!

Mikey Sea

Cool, I haven't seen this.

Pink Martini AZ

Oh wow, I like when I see this movie on TV too. Sooo sick of Goodfellas and Casino. You’ll recognize that kid from the Sopranos. I always felt casting did a good job finding this actor for the role because he really does look like he could be DeNiros son. My favorite line, “dump her?”, “Dump her.”

Darth Brooks

Great movie can't wait to watch tonight!

Adam

Nah wait, you guys picked A Bronx Tale?! It’s a wrap, you guys are now my favorite channel.🍾😎

Dawn

Another mob show

Dan63

Great movie!!

sammy

No country for old men ?? Lots of soft low rated movies so far :(

Superbowl champions

would love to see a reaction to saving silverman no reactor i know have has reacted to it yet and its hilarious! with Jack black

Awilda Luciano

JERSEY GIRL HERE❤️ Used to have a crush on C. ❤️❤️ a good Bronx movie, “ I Like it Like That”

Pink Martini AZ

I have to add about the”door test” and that was something I always did. Ha! Before cars had the remote controls to the locks, you had to unlock your door with just the key. So when a guy unlocks and opens the car door for you, it’s only right to then reach over and unlock his door for him so he doesn’t have to use the key on his side. At least that’s how I was raised. It wasn’t till the later half of the 80’s when car alarms came out and with it, the lock remotes.

TJ

Not sure if you recognize her but De Niro's wife is Charmaine (Artie's wife) in The Sopranos and C is the kid who shot at Chris

Bronx Tale ain’t low rated yo. And it’s hardly soft.

sammy

Seen those... i agree my apologies :)

sammy

We are a family we can disagree respectfully :)

Jesse

Good point. We need a new car test. I was just thinking a hundred dollar bill on the passenger seat to see what they would do? Idk. I guess that wouldn’t prove much unless your a Clyde and she pockets the cash. Then you got your Bonnie. Love on first drive. 💕 💗

Jesse
>>107914443

I like to joke but we seriously need a new door/car selfish or not test. Loved that part of the movie.

Joe Lazarus

A Bronx Tale is a fine experience of cinema with a wonderful story and unfortunately criminally underrated...it's Goodfellas with a Heart!! I hope you guys consider reacting to "CASINO" Directed by Scorsese with De Niro and Pesci again!!! Definitely a MUST WATCH if you like Goodfellas and A Bronx Tale!!!

Thomas Monk

Hey, you didn’t notice that the boy’s mother is the same actress that played Artie Bucco’s wife, Charmaine, in the Sopranos?

Bill William

One of the best movies ever. So many life lessons packed into a couple of hours. Guys, add the John Gotti movie to your list of mob movies. Remember, it's the John Gotti movie from 1996, it's just called ''Gotti'' staring Armand Assante. No one has reacted to it and it's one of the best and most underrated mob movies ever. Not to mention there's a bunch of Sopranos actors in it whom you will recognize. There's a remake from 2018 staring John Travolta, but it's a poor imitation of the original. Gotti 1996 is superior. Anyways, amazing reaction as always! Love your mob reactions, looking forward to the rest!

JL Green

Excellent directorial debut by Robert DeNiro. Strong, well written script and top shelf performances.

Anna Thorp

When y’all get a chance… Scarface is a great Cuban American mob movie - One of Al Pacino greatest roles. If you liked theirs movie you’ll like Scarface

Jerry

$600 in at 1960 is about $6000 in 2023 😁.

My hood lol my friend dated one of slicks friends, Ralphie, that was in the car and my step dads friends were part of the biker crew. A lot of the extras were random Bronx people. This movie is so amazing and so accurate when it comes to the Bronx from that time period and how the Italians that were not connected acted and the ones who were connected acted. I’ve been around both and grew up with both lol. Hey I’m Italian what can I say 🤓😇

Jesse
>>107931156

I like Italians. And you have beautiful eyes. Can I pick you up at 6 in my 68 Chevy Chevelle? Old school locks included. Haha. Seriously. I was friends with a whole family of Italians who moved from the Bronx to my neighborhood when I was a teen. Great people. Great accents. And great stories they would tell me about their time there.

shawn boyce

Lilo Brancato is a real story of wasted talent. Drug addiction and prison time after robbery manslaughter charges around his appearance in the sopranos. He was on Michael Francese's yt channel last year check it out.

Elizabitty213

Your reaction to Jane passing “The Door Test” was everything I hoped for! 🤩

Elizabitty213

You know what’s crazy, I’ve seen this movie a million times, grew up on it, quoted it constantly and just today watching it, I noticed that at the funeral when they were leaving, Calogero’s father said to him, “let’s go C” he called him C, 😭 just a great touch!

Elizabeth DeMerie

So yeah the Bronx is still the toughest Borough of NY, and my son's name is Sonny which is short for Santino ❤️ My mom was from the Bronx and this is one of my favorite movies ever xoxo Thank you ♥️ love you guys

Richard

Great reaction to a great movie! And yea I think the guy who killed Sonny was the one who planted the bomb on his car. Also the actor that plays Sonny had smaller roles in Berry Gordys “The Last Dragon” and The Wayans brothers movie “Little Man”

shawn boyce

Chazz palmenteri's one man show has been on stage before this adaptation came out & still is as far as I know.

Jill Renaud

Did u notice Rob Schneider as biker in striped shirt who was squished by the big dude? Or Jane Cousimano (Arthur’s wife) from Sopranos played C’s mother (that voice n accent!). Or C himself was in Sopranos he tried to kill Christopher bc they thought Ritchie didn’t like him.

Mike the Ginger

When Robert DeNiro calls his son "Cee" at the end. Fantastic stuff. Great review, watched the whole thing!

Daniel

One of my all time favorite movies!

Wayne Polk

One of my all time favorite movies! Glad you guys enjoyed it.

Karim

Do Italian people get tired of the violent gangster troupe in movies. I have to admit it gets old after a while.

Randy Ripley

Thanks for reacting to this movie. Full of life lessons. One of those movies that deserves a rewatch just becuase of the lessons.

Fallon Hall

Sonny was played by an actor named Chazz Palminteri, who was perfect for the role. He also started in another movie y'all should see (if you haven't already), The Usual Suspects - which may have one of the best plot twists of all time. Interestingly, I met Chazz Palminteri maybe about 10 years ago in a restaurant in Detroit and he was so cool. His personality in real life seemed to be very cool, calm and collected, much like the character Sonny in this movie.

Julie A

I would have never watched this movie, but I just did and it was great!

Fallon Hall

Next Series Recommendations: Your Honor Power

Justin Freeman

Calogero was played by Lillo Brancato who played Mathew Bevilaqua in the Sopranos . He got whacked in the refreshment shed by Tony and Pussy for the failed hit on Christopher

JessicaB

The door test. I always make sure to do that for a guy I like lol its the little things. If I dont like ya, youre on your own

I’m half Italian on my dads side. It does not bother me. But there are other Italian movies or characters out there. Moonstruck is a good one. Oh and the 1989 movie True Love. I love that one, yet they never show that one on TV. It’s funny and has three people in it that all play in the Sopranos. Ha. Oh and Rocky of course!

Max

Anyone know when the next game of thrones is dropping

Rio Mendoza

I waited all day to sit down and watch this. I'm not gonna lie twice I pulled it up but was able to turn it off lol. So now I'm gonna end my night with it. Thanks for this it's one of my favorite films ever. And I will win a hoodie on the next give away hahaha. Love y'all thanks.

That door test is on some bull. My ex-wife passed it with flying colors and she turned out to be a real c u next Tuesday. One of theeee worst people I've ever met. Never marry anyone from Vegas. I broke that cardinal rule.

Carl 🐉

Great Movie!!! I went to the filming location @ 30th Ave and 44th St in Queens a few years ago. A friend of mine grew up in that neighborhood and was living there when filming took place.

Jarl Greedo

I’m really happy you guys did this. I was actually really considering bringing this movie up. Can’t wait to watch it with you guys later tonight when I’m at my desk.

Lewsifer

I'll recommend looking into the three OG's of gangster movies. Paul Muni(the original scarface),James Cagney, and Edward G. Robinson.

Charlotte Drolet

OMG! This is where my husband got the door test! My husband did it and then told me that I passed the test when we first started dating. He too was Italian American. He passed last October. I was blessed with 22 years of being with him.

Christina Terwilliger

You need to watch the Godfather!!! Make sure you watch all 3. Part 2 is better than the first. 3rd one is not that great but you have to watch all of them!!!!!

Awilda Luciano

Asia & BJ would love to see you react to “the curious case of benjamin button” Starring Taraji and Brad Pitt.

Delia Sewell

I have never seen this movie. It was a great movie & great music.

Dan Gershgol

First time seeing this. It had my attention all the way through. You need to check out The Untouchables next. Analyze This is a fun comedy about the gangster life.

Anthony Lucido

I subscribed just so I could see this reaction. A Bronx Tale is in my top 5 films of all time. I couldn’t miss out by getting a YouTube edit I had to see your reaction to the whole thing. It’s a movie where you pick up new things each time. It also has a beautiful message and it’s full of life lessons.

Carl 🐉

On a side note, both actors who played Calogero did time in prison. The younger one, Francis Capra was arrested for drug possession. Google what he looks like now, you will be shocked! The older one, Lillo Brancato did time for shooting and killing a Police Officer during a break-in. Crazy! Now that you've seen this one, you need to watch Jersey Boys... It was on my list of movies I sent you that were based on true stories... Enjoy!

Joshua1

You are my favorite reactors, but this reaction is so far my favorite of everything you've done so far and if a patron with good taste hadn't already been faster, I would have requested this classic.

Stanton Lewis

My favorite thing about this movie is how Sonny really cared about Calogero & always looked out for him. Encouraged him to go out with Jane & lent him his car so he could impress her, warned him that his friends were bad influences & they'd get him into trouble, & always kept him out of that life & told him to make something of himself.

Saints_Madness

Another good flick. There is a movie called Deuces Wild thats another good one. Once upon a time in America is another good Robert De Niro movie. And if your wanting to see these gangsters in a gangster comedy, Analyze This is with Robert De Niro and this actor Chazz Palminteri (Sonny).
