All Alicent hears is Aegon, she doesn't know Viserys is talking about Aegon the Conquer and the whole white walker situation. Also if you notice at the end his last words he says "My love." he's referring to his wife Aemma who died in episode 1.

Daemon wasn't laughing at Lady Laena death. He was laughing at what Vaemond Velaryon was saying in the eulogy. Vaemond was basically talking shit that there blood is pure and thick, and that the Driftwood Throne should he passed to a real Velaryon and not Rhaenyra kids.

Honestly when you think of it. Daemon as a second son gets it the most so he knows where Vaemond was coming from. Vaemond just didn’t handle it well (obviously!!! Lol loosing his head…)

By the way, the scene where King Viserys lose his crown is completely improvised by Matt Smith (Daemon) who came and took the crown and told Paddy Considine (King Viserys) to just go on and continue walking, and they continued filming. At the end, they kept the shot. ;) I can't wait for ep 9 & 10. :)

It has already been renewed for 2 more seasons a few episodes into this season being released they r filming the second season so we will most likely get season 2 sometime around August of 2024

Oh! This made my day! Like you, looking forward to the next episode, but also sad it’s over. There is definitely a season 2 because it’s already filming. It’s here where you have to be careful, because since this story is from another book, anyone who has read it knows what will happen next season (at least some of it) and there have been leaks from the filming where scenes from season two are out there. I only mention it as a caution in case you don’t want to know. I dorked out when it was first released and totally went down a Wikipedia rabbit hole so I know what will happen in general, but that’s me, I can’t wait a whole year for more story lol. The next two episodes are really good! I love watching with you guys! It’s like watching with my friends!

The dragon Aemond tamed, Vhagar, was originally Visenya Targaryen's dragon. Visenya was 1 of 2 wives and sisters to Aegon the Conqueror. Also the sword Daemon wields "Dark Sister" also belonged to Visenya Targaryen

I've seen Paddy Considine (Viserys) in other roles like Peaky Blinders, The Bourne Ultimatum, and Girl with All the Gifts, but without question this was his finest hour. Paddy's performance of King Viserys made the character better in the show than the book 👏👏

How are they "So lost"? Seems to me they are quite following things. There's so much to take and understand for a first view. They are doing far better with this season 1 than lets say GoT season 1 lol. Don't be like that. :/

I don't think you caught it but the reason Rhaenyras kids got angry at Aemond was because he called them "strong boys", "strong" is the last name of their fathers. Aemond was pretty much calling them bastards.

Vhagar is a grumpy old grandma dragon. She's the oldest and most powerful in the world, but she kinda does stuff her own way...that will become clear in future episodes. Anyway, letting these kids have dragons is basically trusting them with nukes...doesn't seem very advisable eh?
