“What you mean I’m finna pay 🤬” 😂😂

Joe Lazarus

BJ, I agree that Jimmy has done some things like cutting corners, and running bar scams etc but what Asia is saying is he's never done anything to Chuck in the past. Like Kim said, Jimmy looks up to Chuck , idolizes him and even brags about his intelligence to ppl. However, Chuck was the one who started scheming and sabotaging Jimmy when he secretly called Howard and told him not to hire Jimmy at HHM instead of having his younger brother's back. He never wanted to give Jimmy a chance as a lawyer or at least tried to mentor him. I've said it before and i'll say it again, just because Chuck is right about Jimmy doesn't mean it comes from a good place. Chuck is so messed up with jealousy and resentment, that even though their parents are dead, he subconsciously is still trying to prove to mommy and daddy how terrible is little brother is SMH

asiaandbj

Great comment! After giving more thought I can agree with you and Asia. Y’all are right, Chuck never believed in him as a lawyer and even made fun of the path Jimmy took to become a lawyer. He definitely is harboring a ton of hate and resentment towards Jimmy. I think that Chuck really admires the good qualities in Jimmy and Chuck knows he lacks the great qualities that Jimmy has. I can’t wait to see these next couple of episodes. Thank you for going on this journey with US!! -BJ

I LOVE the Gustavo reveal. Kudos to Asia, I could see it in your eyes immediately as you recognized the paint on those windows being Pollos Hermanos! You didn’t say it then, but I could tell you wanted to; it I knew you had figured it out before the Pollos Hermanos sign was revealed. Something I noticed this time that I hadn’t noticed before…. Maybe this is the advantage of watching two episodes in one shot… the Mister Miagi thumb rolling technique with Chucks space blankets is the same thing Jimmy does at the end with the painters tape…until he rips it off and the last bit of the design is ruined. Slippin Jimmy always cutting corners…

Bill B.

BJ I actually agreee more with you in the intro. What Jimmy did with changing the 1261 to 1216 at the copy shop was awful to Chuck, made a fool out of him, and when Chuck went to the store to investigate, he passed out and could have had a much more serious injury. It’s blood between these two and Jimmy is just a bit too late to realize it.

Davey11

Chuck set Ernesto up with the tape recorder, he knew that Ernie would tell Jimmy what he heard. Chuck is a POS

Josh

I always wondered how Chuck doesn't die from a heat stroke from not running is AC in a freakin desert. If I was those guys at Chuck's I would be saying u gotta turn that shit on or you're on your own

N M

Great Episodes! It’s about to get juicier! Time to put Better Call Saul on prime time overdrive!

N M

It was a good trap… gotta give Chuck bonus points.

Matt Flynn

And this is where the show takes off.

Joe Lazarus

Bill, maybe had Chuck not go out of his way to help Howard get back Mesa Verde when he didn't have to, all of that could've been avoided. My only point is Chuck started this whole beef between brothers that Jimmy didn't ask for. And if Jimmy realized it late, it's because he had a hard time accepting the fact that his own brother hates him.

Joe Lazarus

Most definitely BJ. You guys are AWESOME!!

Cole hauser

When kim asked jimmy to give him a dollar like when he told walt and Jesse to give him a dollar when he gets abducted by them in season 2. Also love the next 2 episodes can’t wait to see them🙏🙏.

Mr Jackpots

Chuck knows all about Jimmy and has told him so in previous episodes. All the stunts Jimmy pulls blow back on the people around him and especially on the people who care about him, but he never really accepts responsibility for it. Consequences never mean much to him because the thrill of the scam is his drug and he's hooked on it. He's a classic sociopath and thus a danger to everyone who comes in contact with him. Chuck's flaw is that he needs Jimmy to cater to his phobia, so instead of being upfront with his brother and directly confronting him, he schemes and undercuts him in devious ways.

Kimo Tune

I swear Asia is related to Le’toya Lucket. Finally put a face to the face of familiarity lol

Daniel

The woman Jimmy and Kim hired to be their receptionist is Saul's receptionist in Breaking Bad. Shes just way more bubbly and cheerful at this point haha

Miss Melissa

Chuck is a snake!! And devious. Just as devious as Jimmy. He thinks because he does things strictly within the bounds of the law, that he’s moral. That’s the great argument of the show for me: legality vs. morality. A lot of things (up to this point) that Jimmy has done have been illegal, but not necessarily immoral. And while Chuck would never break the law (as when Jimmy tried to get Chuck to admit he wanted him to step down from Davis and Main), the things he does aren’t necessarily moral. Is it moral to deny his brother a livelihood because he believes Jimmy to be beneath him? Is it moral for him to use his large law firm to sway a client away from a solo practitioner, particularly one that has been hurt professionally many times by said law firm out of spite? And not even spite for Kim, but spite for another person entirely that she dares to care about. Is it moral to exaggerate your illness and play on the heart strings of a family member - particularly a family member that has taken care of you and seen you through YEARS of mental illness? And here’s the thing with this bank situation. Yes, what Jimmy did was fraud and a felony. However, in the grand scheme of things is a bank having to push back its opening date a couple of weeks really so horrible? It’s a victimless crime more or less and one Jimmy did to right the wrong that Chuck had done. To me, in this situation, what Chuck did was way worse. He screwed with Kim’s livelihood. The bank will survive. Chuck got *embarrassed*. So what. AND, the thing that really gets me, is that when push comes to shove, Jimmy is quite willing to flat out admit to a felony JUST to make Chuck feel better. Meanwhile, Chuck wants Jimmy to “pay”. Jimmy, the guy who has only ever wanted Chuck’s approval and love and has gotten trashed by Chuck because Chuck couldn’t stand that his mother and father and people in general like Jimmy more. Jimmy, the guy who has stood by him and fully respected his wishes regarding his mental health - as that doctor has demonstrated multiple times now, Chuck needs psychiatric treatment and Jimmy, no matter how much it harms him refuses to go against Chuck’s wishes and have him committed. He has refused over and over to take advantage of Chuck medically and financially and yet Chuck will hurt Jimmy at every damn turn he gets. Here’s the thing. Chuck isn’t wrong. He’s just an asshole. This man has literally made himself ILL with the thought that someone who he deems a lowlife scammer is LOVED meanwhile he himself, Mr. The Law is Sacred, cannot connect with people emotionally. He might be able to recite the most obscure case law but that doesn’t you are better than anyone!

Joe Lazarus

THANK YOU!! Glad someone can see through Chuck's BS. Chuck helped make it a self fulfilling prophecy. Jimmy turning into Saul was a result of Chuck, partially. Jimmy looked up to Chuck. He respected him and wanted to make him proud. That’s partially why he became a lawyer. However, Chuck didn’t like the way Jimmy went about becoming a lawyer. He didn’t respect him and still thought he was “Slippin’ Jimmy.” Jimmy wanted to change. He was on the track to being a respectable lawyer. He even had a hand in elder law and would usually help those people for far less than what he was asking of them initially. In most episodes, we see Jimmy in the future (black and white cinematic), and how he’s changing from his original ways. He’s taken up a humble job and is living a hermit lifestyle. The reason this all derailed was when he found out that Chuck was sabotaging his career. When he found out the brother he loved and taked care of didn’t actually like him and thought less of him, the whole relationship he thought he knew shattered. This was the greatest stab in the back since his brother was the only family he really knew. Even after the betrayal, Jimmy still spoke highly of his brother’s skill as a lawyer. He was more than a brother. A role model he strives to be like. So the big question, if Chuck would’ve supported and been a mentor to Jimmy, would Jimmy still have become Saul?

pkleo73

ok, this was mentioned somewhere and now I cant un-see it. Guys, ya gotta move the Exorcist pic. LOL! Just sittin down to watch these now, and I was like drawn to it. You got Asias pretty face and then theres THAT! I get why its there though. yea, Chucks' a douche. Youve never seen Karate Kid?!?! Id say if there was 5 minutes where he didnt hate him, that was generous. And it was cool that they held that shot. I think that guy was prewarned by Gus. Or they had some kind of code between them as an alert. Double 'gotcha' for Mike ;) And after seeing him standing there, and you not being pleased the scene was over, I guess we'll be seeing eps 3 and 4 pretty soon hehe. And, I go back to my previous statement. Chucks' a douche. Thnx guys!

Miss Melissa

Absolutely. People tend to flourish when they have supportive people in their lives who encourage them and help them to be their best selves. Especially someone they admire and look up to. Like Asia said, what did Jimmy ever do to Chuck? I mean, really? Chuck’s jealousy and contempt for Jimmy are just vile. It triggers the worst in Jimmy, which is his impulse to scheme. Which in turn triggers the worst in Chuck by not only turning himself into a schemer, but also triggering a full blown mental illness because he can NOT handle the fact that not only does everyone love Jimmy, but that he’s also quite capable of being a lawyer. It’s so anathema to Chuck, that he makes himself sick.

CS

That opening song you liked "shu shu shu....sugartown" etc, is "Sugartown" by Nancy Sinatra. You probably know her song "These Boots Are Made For Walking"

Robert

All i got for this one is jimmy in the rocking chair. lol. im dmv all the way... i guess i could say this is maybe arc 2 of "jimmy" upping the stakes in the development of his character into the beginning of season 3. we have a jimmy for the first time independent living out his dream in the office with kim, business is good for the first time and stable. but a jimmy without limitations smells trouble. he's rocking back and forth in the chair with restless energy, going on ad hoc escapades with mike, wanting to do more like a spy but mike kicks him out of the car, and then he kicks chucks door down. jimmy wants more, jimmy is expanding... "here's jimmy"

Clockwork360

I was going to write this, but made sure to find a similar comment first. BJ ,I think, in an earlier episode or season, mistook another woman for Franchesca. I was waiting for their reaction to seeing her but they didn't recognize her lol. But yes it's probably due to the bubbly and friendly attitude this time around.

Josh

Asia, I will say Chuck isn't that crazy about the cell phones as people think. Cell phones do push out radiation like a microwave. Even more when u charge it. Why do u think companies sell EMF blockers u put on ur phone to block radiation signals. They even have EMF Bags u can buy to put ur phone in

Josh

I took out my radiation dector and it was spitting out 387 ronkin when my phone was charging. That's like a chest xray I was laying next to

rue

See, I agree with you on a ton of what you say! I think the obnoxious thing is people tend to overlook that Jimmy does, in fact, shoot himself in the foot frequently. Much of how Chuck manages to one-up Jimmy is dependent on Jimmy being low-life scum.

Brian

A couple of things about the titles of the episodes in the first two seasons. The first season all the titles end with the letter O, such as Uno,Mijo,Rico,Marco except for the episode called Alpine Shepherd Boy which was originally titled Jello but couldn’t afford the rights to use the name. If you look at the titles for season 2 the first letter of each title spells FRINGS BACK. Keep the great reactions coming.

Davey11

That's cool

Daniel

Haha I was hoping theyd notice her too since BJ thought that one woman is her. But she is easy to not recognize just cause her personality is so different.

Michael King

You should get your cell phone checked for depleted uranium. Or maybe get your “detector” checked. I hope you’re not suggesting that you can measure RF with an ionizing type radiation detector?

Cynthia M Farrington

Did anyone else notice that the new scene Jimmy painted in place of the rainbow started with the letters W and M for Wexler and McGill, the logo Jimmy wanted to use for their practice? Then he made it into a mountain scene.

Cynthia M Farrington

Chuck had Earnie change the battery in the tape player and left it on on purpose so he could get Earnie to tip Jimmy off to it, so he would break in to steal it. He couldn’t use the tape in court so he wanted to trap Jimmy for breaking the law that way, with the private security guard as his witness.

Dan Gonya

Hey BJ, Dan here...your self proclaimed tv/movie firearms expert.😁 The the hand canon as you called it that Mike has there is a Smith and Wesson model 629 which is chambered in 44 magnum. Glad to help!😅

Eligh Te

i find it so hilarous neither of them recognized franchesca but bj randomly thought some girl with like 2 lines in s1 was sauls future assisstant LMAO love you guys
