I have been binging though your reactions to this series specifically to get to this episode and I was not disappointed! I've never seen BJ so totally blown away and unable to articulate his thoughts by an episode of TV before and since I knew what was coming I have to admit that after a while it was fun to watch! I sure remember the feeling though. I always loved Rita from the beginning, because I was a long time Buffy and Angel fan, and she was on Buffy starting from episode 1 and I always loved her on that show, so when I first saw her on Dexter, I was like, "Darla!" and I was so happy to see Julie Benz on TV again! Looking back, she did have some dialogue with Dexter towards the end that seemed like she was foreshadowing the end of the relationship. Asia, keep making your predictions and educated guesses! Remember, you're the smart one no matter what BJ may think! (lol) I love you two!

I haven't seen these since the original airing, and though I recalled Rita's ultimate demise, I have to admit I began to wonder if it came the following season somehow! I'm as stunned as I was the first time around!! Exceptional writing, acting, producing, and directing. Period.

I was finally able to come back to your Patreon, and I'm catching up on reactions... Rita's death has to be one of the most shocking moments I experienced while watching a TV show. Even in GOT there are many shocking moments, but this one really hit me in my gut. I'll never forget it and when I recommend Dexter for people to watch I am thinking of this exact moment!

Still one of the most shocking moments in TV history...... But Harry was right all along, Dexter waited to long to get rid of Arthur and Dexter paid the ultimate price...... Once Arthur found who Dexter really was it was all down hill from there

This makes Arthur Miller the worst killer Dexter ever faced in my opinion. Dexter spent all season trying to take clues from him trying to figure out how to make his double life work like Arthur's did. the fact is it would have never worked. poor rita should have left when he slept with lila and then she would have never died.

after Arthur went to his own house and told his family to give him all their money etc and he found dexters address, around the same time rita came back home to grab her ID - she became new bathtub victim - while Dexter thinking shes on her way to honeymoon spot - then Arthur picks up his car in a GREAT mood, then when arthur is on the table - arthur even tells Dexter... "its already over."

Dexter acts like he doesn't but he really wants to fit in and it causes bad things to happen. I can't imagine what was going through her mind. 😥
